A new batch of toys from Solo: A Star Wars Story gives fans a good look at some of the film's characters, while also hinting Jabba the Hutt's palace will be shown. As difficult as it is to believe, Lucasfilm's next blockbuster hits theaters in just over three months, and the studio kicked off the marketing with the first footage from Ron Howard's spinoff debuting during the Super Bowl LII broadcast. The first full trailer premieres on Good Morning America Monday, February 5. After all the movie went through during production, audiences are eager to see how it all turned out.
Of course, the film is only part of the equation when it comes to Solo promotion. As is the case with any Star Wars film, there will be a bevy of new toys for collectors to scoop up. Recently, leaked LEGO sets teased some of the vehicles, including a redesigned Millennium Falcon. Now, some more products have been revealed, suggesting another familiar face will grace the big screen come May.

Some Solo toys were showcased at an exhibition. Chief among the products are new action figures, including Lando Calrissian, Han Solo, Emilia Clarke's Qi'Ra, a stormtrooper, and a Kessel guard (among others). One of the pictures highlights what appears to be a play set on a desert location with a variety of ships. As SWNN notes, the landscape and building structures bear resemblance to Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. You can look at all the images by clicking the link below.
Jabba was previously rumored to appear in Solo, though nothing official has been confirmed on that front since. Considering the history between the Hutt kingpin and Han, it wouldn't be surprising to see the villain return in some capacity. Prior to joining the Rebellion, Solo did some smuggling jobs for Jabba, including the infamous one where he dumped his shipment and landed himself in debt. However, at this point it's simply a theory audiences will go back to Tatooine in the anthology. To date, the only Solo planets revealed are Kessel, Mimban, and Corellia. Last year, set photos from the Fuerteventura location leaked online, with reports indicating the Canary Island would play Corellia in the film. It is possible that the Tatooine-esque display is Han's home planet of Corellia. The presence of Solo's podcar lends credence to that belief. Hopefully, the trailer clears this up.
If Jabba shows up in Solo, it will be interesting to see how the Hutt fits in. The canon novel From A Certain Point of View detailed the backstory of the "Imperial cruiser" incident, so perhaps the spinoff would highlight a different key moment from the duo's past. This would allow the film to capitalize on the nostalgia of seeing Han with Jabba without resorting to low-hanging original trilogy references. There would also be the question of how Howard portrays the Hutt. For Return of the Jedi, a rather expensive puppet was constructed, but the character's subsequent appearances were handled with CGI. Seeing that a Yoda puppet was used for The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm might stick to the old way of doing things.
