Halo Infinite has a free-to-play multiplayer, but there are still a decent amount of issues with the game, including voice chat errors. However, players can try a few different methods to resolve voice chat problems. Players may need to try multiple solutions, but, eventually, they should be able to use the voice chat properly to communicate with other players in Halo Infinite.

There are a variety of multiplayer modes in Halo Infinite, and most of them are team-based game types. Having the ability to communicate with other members of the team is essential to coordinating attacks, developing a strategy, and successfully completing objectives. Unfortunately, many players are experiencing issues with the game's voice chat. Players are unable to hear each other or be heard, and it's causing many to quickly become frustrated with the game. Luckily, there are a few ways to fix this issue.

Players have several options for attempting to fix the voice chat in Halo Infinite multiplayer. The solutions should be completed in order to make less work for players, as some of the easiest fixes are likely to work. Voice chat solutions involve going into the game's settings, changing the output device, or tweaking the player's headset's settings. Players have a few different options, but the solutions generally involve changing settings in at least one area.

Fixing the Voice Chat in Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite's multiplayer voice chat problems are a known issue, so there will hopefully be a permanent fix soon. However, until there's a new patch released, there are multiple solutions players can try that will likely take care of the problem. A total of six different solutions can be implemented to fix the voice chat:

  • Make sure the Xbox game bar output is correctly set to the player's chosen headset device.
  • Players should disable all audio playback devices on their PC besides their headset.
  • In Halo Infinite, go to settings, audio, communication, then voice chat output and make sure the headset is selected.
  • In the same settings tab, go to voice chat and turn on open mic.
  • Halo Infinite has a push-to-talk function that players can enable to try to fix voice chat.
  • Players can also try to reset the game.

If none of the above fixes work, then it's likely players will need to wait until the voice chat is permanently fixed in Halo Infinite. However, many players have had success changing settings or restarting the game. Halo Infinite is still in beta, and there have been a lot of bugs reported, but these will hopefully be addressed before the game's official release on December 8th, 2021.
