Halo Infinite features the iconic Warthog, but players will need to complete a few steps while exploring the open world in order to unlock this vehicle. Players will need to access a Forward Operating Base and gain Valor points in Halo Infinite to unlock and spawn various vehicles, including the Warthog. The different vehicles in Halo Infinite will help players reach new areas or explore each of the islands quicker.

There are a few ways players can quickly earn enough Valor points to unlock the Warthog in Halo Infinite. The easiest way to earn a lot of Valor early in the game is to rescue any captured Marines, unlock Forward Operating Bases, and clear outposts of the Banished. Players will earn a lot of Valor by completing the various side activities available to players in Halo Infinite. Players will need to obtain a total of 800 Valor to unlock the Warthog.

Players can easily earn Valor by activating Forward Operating Base to get the Warthog. Forward Operating Bases are locations scattered around the map that act as fast travel points and give players the ability to change their loadout. These bases also allow players to spawn vehicles like the Warthog or the Wasp in Halo Infinite. Each Forward Operating Base will need to be cleared of enemies and activated before players can use it.

Valor is also earned whenever players complete story missions, but it's easier to increase Master Chief's reputation quickly with side activities. After reaching 800 Valor, players will have the Warthog unlocked, but to use it they will still need to visit a Forward Operating Base in Halo Infinite. Players can fast travel to an activated base, interact with the console, then scroll through their available vehicles to find the Warthog. After confirming their choice, players will see the Warthog spawn in on the center platform.

The Warthog has a moderate amount of durability and can be maneuvered easily. This vehicle holds up to three players or AIs: a driver, a passenger, and a gunner on the back. For players completing the campaign solo, they can either take the Warthog out on their own or have AIs with them to go around each island and help take out the Banished in Halo Infinite.

There are a variety of unlocks players will obtain with Valor before reaching the Warthog at 800 points. The Valor unlockables before the Warthog include weapons and vehicles such as the Mongoose and the MA40 Assault Rifle. A total of eight Valor unlockables will be obtained before players gain access to the Warthog, but they should be able to reach this goal early on in Halo Infinite.
