PC electronics company Razer has unveiled its Halo Infinite lineup of gaming accessories inspired by Master Chief’s iconic MJOLNIR armor. The latest major installment in the long-running Halo franchise is set to come out in just a few months on December 8, so peripheral manufacturers and custom controller designers can be expected to announce their own products themed after the upcoming FPS, such as a recent custom Halo Infinite Xbox Series X/S controller's Needler-influenced design.

While still a marketing powerhouse, Halo Infinite's actual development has been troubled to say the least. It was initially planned to release alongside the Xbox Series X/S in 2020 but was eventually delayed to its current release date because of a number of production factors. Despite having a finalized launch date, the problematic development of the game most recently led developer 343 Industries to delay two of Halo Infinite’s gameplay modes to 2022. However, none of this ever stopped a parade of licensed promotions and merchandise from marching onward, as deals like Monster Energy-themed Halo Infinite cosmetics have been going ahead since last year.

Razer has shown off four Halo Infinite-inspired peripherals, including the Kaira Pro for Xbox wireless headset, BlackWidow V3 keyboard, DeathAdder V2 mouse, and Goliathus Extended Chroma desk mat. Most of the four peripherals come in the green and black color scheme that Master Chief’s armor is known for, with some scratches, scuffs, and dirt incorporated into the design for simulated battle damage. In contrast, the Goliathus Extended Chroma desk mat comes in a dark gray with the chest piece of Master Chief’s armor printed on it. The peripherals also feature Master Chief’s in-universe “117” designation and the UNSC emblem on them.

Razer's Halo Infinite lineup of peripherals is currently available for pre-order through GameStop and will become available for pre-order through Razer's website on September 27. The Kaira Pro headset is priced at $170, the BlackWidow V3 keyboard is $180, and the DeathAdder V2 mouse and Goliathus Extended mat are $79.99 each. Each of the special edition accessories include in-game rewards that can be redeemed in Halo Infinite as a bonus. The Kairo Pro for Xbox and BlackWidow V3 will come with the Deathly Poison Armor Coating and Deathly Poison Weapon Coating, respectively. Meanwhile, the DeathAdder V2 will include the Fangs Emblem, and the Goliathus Extended Chroma comes with five Challenge Swaps.

Even though Halo has traditionally been a flagship title for Xbox, three of the four products from Razer are PC peripherals first and foremost (but it's worth noting Xbox Series X/S consoles do have keyboard and mouse support). It’s also surprising that a Halo Infinite edition of the Razer Wolverine V2 wireless gamepad wasn't included in the latest product batch, as it was specifically designed for the Xbox Series X/S. When considering Microsoft’s current strategy of releasing its console exclusive games on PC and Razer’s longer experience with PC gaming, though, this lineup of Halo Infinite products still makes sense.

The new set of Halo Infinite edition accessories from Razer are looking to be neat additions to fans' collections. It could be exciting to see what Halo Infinite products other brands will end up coming out with as the game’s release date draws closer, but they may struggle to size up to the recent unveiling of Microsoft’s own Halo Infinite Xbox Series X/S console and controller.
