The Mangler, in Halo Infinite, is a brutal gun known for its devastating power, and players need to know how to get quicker kills to make it genuinely elite. The Mangler is a powerhouse weapon that comes in a small package, and when used effectively, is a favorite of players both in the Multiplayer and Campaign modes. Veteran players of the Halo series might even be familiar with its cousin, the Type-52 Pistol.

In speaking of the Mangler and its closer cousin, the Type-52 Pistol, better known as the Mauler, both have the power of a shotgun, but the Mangler has a different feature that makes it even deadlier. Most players using it might not think of it as a ranged weapon, but Apex Legends players might be familiar with the Wingman's power and how deadly it is at range. The Mangler echoes that same idea as a gun with the strength and mobility of a shotgun matched with the accuracy of a long-range assault rifle.

In speaking about the versatility of the Mangler, there are some flaws with it as well. Players need to make an adjustment with the Mangler because it has some bullet drop. Since the Mangler has some bullet drop, players must adjust how they aim to account for the change. Another issue players will see is that it's not effective against vehicles except when aiming at riders' heads. Another problem that arises is that even though there are spikes on the gun, melee damage does not increase while using the Mangler in Halo Infinite.

How To Kill Quickly With The Mangler In Halo Infinite

Speed is of the essence in Halo Infinite when taking down enemies, especially when a Brute is charging forward. Luckily, the Mangler can take Brutes out in three shots, bringing them down without a problem. A great technique to use with the Mangler to get quick kills is putting one or two shots on a shielded enemy to drop their shields. After their shields get dropped, players can use any number of methods to finish off an enemy with a third shot or melee strike, the preferred method. However, players have to watch out for the Mangler as it can shoot on the slower side due to all of the power it packs. That means getting ready to either shoot or melee is a necessary evil for the gun. A popular technique on weaker enemies is to quickly melee first and then shoot because it will guarantee their shields will drop and a quick bullet hit for many instant kills.
