With the public release of Halo Infinite multiplayer earlier this month, there's been no shortage of content, between the new battle pass and the rewards exclusive to those who complete all of their weekly challenges. The weekly challenges are especially lucrative to players hoping to progress in the game, as completing them earns both experience points toward Battle Pass progression and an ultimate weekly reward for completing all of them.

Halo Infinite saw a surprise release for its multiplayer mode earlier this month to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the series. The game has already seen runaway success, especially with how Halo Infinite compared to Vanguard and other contemporary shooters releasing at the same time. The game has seen a massive install base, with many hailing Halo Infinite as a success before the official release of the campaign has come out.

Throughout the various multiplayer modes, players will earn experience points for completing certain challenges, including tasks as simple as just playing a round of multiplayer. Completing challenges earns the player experience points, which aid in progress through the Battle Pass. As players rank up in the Halo Infinite Battle Pass, cosmetics and experience boost tokens unlock as rewards. This isn't the only progression system in the game, however, as weekly challenges provide more unlocks that players won't find on the Battle Pass.

Halo Infinite's Weekly Challenges & Rewards Explained

Why Halo Infinite Server Issues Keep Happening & How To Fix Them

Weekly challenges in Halo Infinite differ in that players can only have three of these challenges (increased to four with the Premium Battle Pass) active at a time, with roughly twenty challenges running each week. These challenges include tasks completed in-game, such as getting assists or getting eliminations with a specific weapon. As weekly challenges are completed, they are removed from the active challenge slot, replaced with a challenge from a list of Upcoming Weekly challenges.

Players are able to use consumables called Challenge Swap items to change Halo Infinite's weekly challenges. Once players complete their final weekly challenge of the given week, an Ultimate Challenge is unlocked. Not only does this Ultimate Challenge offer additional experience points, but it also will unlock that week's Ultimate Reward, usually a cosmetic item such as an armor piece. Each week provides a new Ultimate Reward, available for a limited time - that week - and these rewards are separate from the rewards granted from Battle Pass progression.

Halo Infinite is well set up to keep players returning for more. Between a Battle Pass with plenty of unique rewards, in addition to a weekly system that rewards players for returning to the game often enough to complete their weekly challenges, Halo Infinite is gearing up to be a long-lasting title in the Halo series, and a steady stream of rewards is a good incentive for players to stick with it.
