The very first Halo Infinite gameplay reveal trailer happened earlier this year. Many Halo fans were more hyped than they've ever been for a reveal, and nearly all of them are excited for this long-awaited sequel that will be launching on the next-gen Xbox Series X. Microsoft has done a lot to market and push Halo Infinite and successfully keep longtime fans hyped for the game, something which is especially important since it is the last entry in the Halo series for the next 10 years. Even with this, it is clear to see that 303 Industries will have to do an outstanding job on Halo Infinite if they want to bring the series back to its previous success.

Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, and Halo 3 were all iconic for anyone who played a video game during their heyday. Xbox never had as many exclusives as PlayStation did, but the Halo series was a driving factor for people looking to buy a console. When it comes to Halo 4 and Halo 5, however, both of the games had something lacking that didn't express how great the Halo series could really be. Halo 4 had an amazing storyline and an engaging campaign, but the multiplayer was underwhelming. Halo 5 had a great multiplayer, but not that good of a campaign.

Microsoft has clearly learned from their mistakes, though. Halo 5's sloppy storyline didn't have the action that fans were looking for. Halo Infinite will fix this by going back in time to Halo's original days. The storyline will also be focused on Master Chief, which is a great way to keep fans engaged and hooked into the story. The development studio is even working on bring back Halo's classic art style.

How Halo Infinite Can Bring Fans Back

Another very important aspect that 303 Industries will have to work on for the game to be a success is Halo Infinite's multiplayer. It will have to figure out the best way to implement sprint and aim mechanics while still keeping to the Halo gun mechanics, and not hurting the title's core gameplay. The reason the earlier Halo games were so popular were because of their simplicity, so if these features are done right, Halo Infinite could attract more gamers than ever.

Now is as great an opportunity as ever for Halo Infinite's release. Many players have been playing the Master Chief Collection on Xbox, and anyone who has the Xbox Game Pass (which is now at 15 million subscribers) are able to play Halo 5. Halo Infinite will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass upon release, meaning that's a potential 15 million players that will be able to play for no extra cost. If that kind of exposure doesn't increase the number of Halo fans, there's a chance nothing else will.

These are probably the best ways that Halo Infinite will be able to bring the series back to success. With Halo Infinite coming out on the next-gen Xbox console, players won't know how it will really play out until the Xbox Series X is officially released, which happens to be only next month. Halo Infinite, however, won't be coming out until 2021, so Microsoft and 303 Industries have plenty of time to make it the best game it can possibly be.
