In Halo Infinite, the Forerunner Artifacts are collectibles found in the large open world and can easily be missed if players aren't looking for them. There are seven total Forerunner Artifacts with two unlockable achievements. On their own, the Forerunner Artifacts do not do anything, but, if players use the blue portals in the correct order, they will unlock the Forerunner Audio Logs.
The Eld Aficionado achievement in Halo Infinite is rewarded for scanning just one of the Forerunner Artifacts. Additionally, players can unlock the Haruspis achievement by scanning all seven Forerunner Artifacts. To access the Forerunner Audio Logs, players must interact with the Forerunner Artifacts in order. Players can listen to these logs from their collection menu at any time, and the logs contain information on the origins of the mysterious Zeta Halo.
The Forerunner Artifacts can be found at any time, but finding the artifacts is much easier once players have unlocked a Wasp. The Wasp is unlocked once players have earned 2,600 Valor. With the necessary Valor, players can summon and fly a Wasp in Halo Infinite from any FOB by walking over to the small plinth with a Mongoose hologram and selecting the vehicle. By flying, players will be able to easily spot the artifacts from above.
Halo Infinite: Forerunner Artifacts Locations
The first Forerunner Artifact in Halo Infinite is in the hills southeast of FOB Charlie on a plateau, not far from the Harpoon Squad and northwest of FOB Delta. The second is directly next to the Mjolnir Armory at the pond southeast of Outpost Tremonius in the valley. In addition to the second artifact, the pond is home to the Crimson Vettel MKVII Armor Coating. The third Forerunner Artifact is on the hill southwest of Ransom Keep on top of the mountain. The easiest way to reach the mountain peak is to use the Halo Infinite grappling hook to climb up the north side of the mountain and ignore the footpaths.
The fourth Forerunner Artifact is on the peak of the mountain northeast of FOB Golf, which is the first FOB. The easiest way to reach this artifact is to use the footpath along the northern side of the mountain, east of the Boxer Squad distress call. The fifth Forerunner Artifact is found southeast of the northernmost Beacon mission objective, northeast of FOB Juliet on the Western side of the mountain. Players should look on a high mountain for a ruined Banished base with the artifact located in the middle. At many of these Beacon and Banished bases, along with other locations, players can also find Banished Audio Logs in addition to Forerunner Audio Logs.
The sixth Forerunner Artifact is located at the edge of a cliff on the north side of the third Island (Pelican Down), to the north of Fortune Squad, which can be found northwest of FOB Hotel. The easiest way to find this artifact is to follow the river to the northeast. The seventh and final artifact is north of FOB November, on the very edge of the map in the southeastern corner. There is a footpath that will lead players directly to the artifact on the mountain.
