In Halo Infinite, players can access various fast travel points around the map, but each one needs to be found individually, and players will need to unlock them first. As players progress through the Halo Infinite campaign, they will come across a large number of enemies to fight, and some of the battles they encounter may open up fast travel points. Before beginning to fast travel, players will need to locate the Forward Operating Bases in Halo Infinite.

There are campaign missions in Halo Infinite to complete, but players are also able to explore open sections of the map at their leisure instead of following the mission objectives. Forward Operating Bases are located in different areas in Halo Infinite, and they give players a place to fast travel to or change their loadout. Each Forward Operating Base needs to be unlocked by taking out the enemies that have overrun the base.

Liberating Forward Operating Bases may take a few tries for bases that have more difficult enemies or a larger number of them to fight. Players will need to take out every enemy in the area in order to start the process for unlocking the base so they can use it. Some enemies will be tougher than others, and many FOBs have their own boss encounters, so players should be sure to have some of Halo Infinite's better weapons with them when attempting to take over a base.

To gain access to one of Halo Infinite's fast travel point, players will need to liberate a Forward Operating Base. Once the enemies around the base are taken out, players need to go to the large platform and interact with the console in the middle. This will activate the base as a fast travel point as well as allow players to call in vehicles or change their gear and weapon loadout. If the console is inaccessible, it means there's still an enemy in the area, so players should use their minimap to track down any enemies still alive.

To get to a controlled Forward Operating Base, players just need to go to their map and put their cursor over the desired base, then use the fast travel button or key to quickly warp there. Controlling a base in Halo Infinite is permanent, so players don't have to worry about enemies taking it back. With a decent loadout, players should be able to easily take over Forward Operating Bases and start fast traveling around the map in Halo Infinite.

Unlocking as many fast travel points as possible will make it easier for players to explore and find collectibles in Halo Infinite in between missions. Having the ability to jump to a distant section of the map is much more convenient than running or driving there. Players will need to find each Forward Operating Base and take it over before they're able to fast travel, but then they will be able to warp or change their loadout there.
