A video of Halo multiplayer announcer Jeff Steitzer reading character lines from Destiny 2 has been shared online thanks to a fan's Cameo request. Steitzer is returning for 343 Industries' Halo Infinite, but it seems the legendary video game announcer wouldn't seem out of place in Bungie's live-service game.

Halo Infinite players have experienced their first taste of the upcoming shooter thanks to a playable beta weekend which took place from July 29 to August 2. Select lucky players who signed up for access to the beta test were able to enjoy time with an early iteration of the multiplayer, which will serve as a technical test to highlight areas of improvement for the developers to work on before the game's launch. The next Halo game will release this holiday season, with a recent leak claiming Halo Infinite will launch in November.

As spotted by DestructoidYouTuber Baguette, Eiffel's Blade recently purchased a Cameo performance from Steitzer, requesting the actor read some of the famous lines from Destiny 2. In the video, Steitzer lends his iconic voice to some of the most well-known Crucible lines from Lord Shaxx, played by Lennie James, including the infamous: "You eat monsters for breakfast." The video is a must-watch for Halo fans, with the actor's take on the lines bringing a distinct Halo flavor to Destiny characters. Fans can request their own personalized videos from Steitzer via Cameo.

Steitzer doesn't just read Destiny 2 character lines in the video, as the actor also shares an appreciation for the game and those on its development team. Addressing the purchaser Baguette, Steitzer spoke briefly about the developers who left Halo to work on Destiny, describing their success with the game as well-deserved. Rumors of a Destiny 2 and Halo crossover event have been rife for a while, but until something concrete surfaces, players will just have to make do with the incredible Cameo.

The upcoming Halo Infinite will feature Steitzer as the multiplayer announcer once again, but a new leak has suggested the actor and 343 Industries are still keeping some secrets when it comes to the modes that will be available in the game. Following the Halo Infinite beta test, dataminers discovered an audio file that could be evidence that there will be a battle royale mode in Halo. In the audio clip, Steitzer can be heard making a battle royale announcement, despite developers repeatedly denying claims of such a mode. Fans will have to wait until the release of Halo Infinite to find out more about the game.
