Michael Myers, Halloween's famed killer, will be stalking guests that visit his childhood home at this year’s Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights. The iconic masked killer was first introduced to the world in John Carpenter’s 1978 horror classic Halloween, which was originally titled The Babysitter Murders due to the terror that Myers brings to teenage sitter Laurie Strode and her friends on one frightful Halloween night. Credited as one of the most influential and greatest horror films of all time, the franchise is soon to see its thirteenth installment premiere with the release of the final movie in the Blumhouse Productions trilogy, Halloween Ends, on October 14.
Now, fans of Halloween can face Myers head-on at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studio Hollywood with new haunted houses at this year's Halloween Horror Nights. Guests will be transported through the front door of Myers' family home in the small Illinois town of Haddonfield, reliving classic scenes from the 1978 hit film, all while being chased by the knife-wielding killer. The Halloween-inspired haunted house will open its doors to the public at Universal Orlando Resort on September 2, but it will not be available at Universal Studios Hollywood until September 8. Both locations will offer the Halloween haunted house on select dates, and the attraction will run through October 31. The Blumhouse Productions trilogy that acts as a direct sequel to Carpenter’s original Halloween film will be coming to a close with the release of Halloween Ends on October 14, and what better way to celebrate Strode and Myers' extensive history than by walking a mile in the babysitter’s shoes?
