A new image from Halloween Kills shows Michael Myers ready to attack. The sequel to 2018's Halloween, directed by David Gordon Green, is slated to release next month on October 15 after being delayed from its original 2020 release date. Jamie Lee Curtis is returning as Laurie Strode, the original Final Girl from the 1978 film. Also returning from the original film is Kyle Richards as Lindsay Wallace, one of the kids Laurie babysat in the original movie. They will be joined by Judy Greer and Andi Matichak as Karen and Allyson Nelson, Laurie's daughter and granddaughter.

Halloween Kills' trailer revealed that the film will pick up directly after the events of the first one, with Laurie, Karen, and Allyson fleeing from Laurie's burning house where they assume Michael Myers is trapped in the basement. Naturally, the seemingly un-killable killer makes it out of the house alive and continues his rampage on the town of Haddonfield, Illinois. This time, though, the residents of Haddonfield are ready to fight back. Curtis has said Halloween Kills will deal with themes of mob violence as the town decides to take justice into their own hands.

This justice won't stop Michael from claiming a few more victims, though. A new image from Fandango shows Michael ready to strike as he lays atop of a car. His charred mask can be seen reflected in the windshield of the vehicle as one of his victims tries to take cover. It is unclear from the picture who he is attacking, but the brown hair indicates it could possibly be Lindsay Wallace. Check out the image below:

Halloween Kills Michael Myers

Despite the fact that Haddonfield will fight back against Michael Myers, it's clear that he's going to make it out alive. Green's original film was so successful it prompted production company Blumhouse to start a new trilogy, one that retcons all previous sequels and picks up after the events of the first film. Halloween Kills will be a more expansive and action-packed film while Halloween Ends is said to be a more emotional final chapter.

Curtis has made it clear that the final film in the trilogy will likely be her last go as the character of Laurie Strode, but if Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends prove as successful as the first film, Michael Myers will likely rise from the dead once again. Until then, though, he'll have to go up against the Strode family and there's no one who wants him dead more than Laurie.
