Halloween Kills star Judy Greer says Allyson Nelson is bloodthirsty in the sequel. The original Halloween is often called John Carpenter's best work, as it is really the film that kicked off the slasher genre. The following seven sequels and Rob Zombie's two films were never able to match the popularity of the original, which is why David Gordon Green's Halloween retcons all of them, taking place 40 years after Halloween (1978).

The sequel was successful for many reasons, but one of the biggest draws of the film was that it brought back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. Laurie grew up and had a family in the last 40 years, with Greer playing her daughter, and Andi Matichak playing her granddaughter. All three characters are terrified when they find out Michael has returned, but Laurie had prepared for their inevitable showdown. All three of the women team together to "defeat" the Boogeyman, with Karen shooting him, Allyson stabbing him, and Laurie trapping and burning Michael inside her basement. While they were all brave in the film, it sounds like they will evolve even more in Halloween Kills.

When speaking with Total Film (via The Horror Dude), Greer commented on how Karen and Allyson have changed from their experiences with Michael Myers and how bloodthirsty Allyson is in the sequel. Greer indicates that Allyson has changed the most, with her basically being the average high school girl before turning into a leader. Greer commented:

"When we met Allyson, she was a very relatable, lovely girl-next-door type of character. Allyson here, just hours later… she is ignited. She is, in some ways, leading the charge, and is one for the most bloodthirsty of the group. Whereas Karen, who has dealt psychologically with her mother more intimately, is trying to resist those temptations."

Laurie and Allyson Strode in Halloween

While Greer's comment on her character isn't much of a surprise, the mention of Allyson taking charge and being bloodthirsty says a lot about the upcoming film. At the beginning of Halloween, she was just an average high-school student, who, much like her mother and grandmother, was forced to grow up too fast because of Michael Myers. Allyson may have slashed at Michael's hands to save her mother, but it certainly didn't seem like she was bloodthirsty by any means. This could indicate that something truly traumatic could happen in Halloween Kills.

It's unlikely that all three Strodes will survive Halloween Kills, and the most likely candidate to die at the hands of Michael is Karen. Witnessing her mother's murder would likely put her over the edge, which would inevitably push her closer to her grandmother, and together, they could put an end to Michael's terror. Regardless of who does or doesn't die, it sounds like Allyson and Karen are going to be seeing a lot more action in the sequel, but fans will now have to wait until 2021 to see Halloween Kills.
