Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Halloween EndsActing as the conclusion to the incredibly popular franchise, Halloween Ends features a ton of returning characters from the series' lengthy history. One of the common praises of the Halloween reboot trilogy is its side characters, as many of the minor characters throughout the three films are given a level of development and charm that makes them just as lovable as the series' classic characters. While it may seem like very few characters survived Michael Myers' reign of terror in Halloween Kills, there are actually a surprising number of returning characters in Halloween Ends that could be easily missed.

Set several years after the events of Halloween and Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends tells the story of Corey Cunningham, a copycat killer who takes inspiration from Haddonfield's greatest threat, Michael Myers. After starting a new series of killings, Corey actually lures Myers out of the sewers he has been living in, leading to another violent bloodbath that Haddonfield has become far too familiar with. Halloween Ends gives updates on most of the characters who have survived Myers' previous killings, to both positive and negative effects. So, here is every returning character in Halloween Ends and what happens to them by the end of the movie - including if they survive.

Michael Myers

Halloween Ends Michael Myers

Heavily featured in the film's marketing, it isn't surprising that long-time series villain Michael Myers once again returns in Halloween Ends. What is surprising, though, is his lack of screen time, as the horror icon is mostly sidelined in favor of copycat killer Corey Cunningham. After his previous rampage in Halloween and Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends reveals that Michael Myers has been living in Haddonfield's sewers for the past few years, with Corey discovering Michael and enlisting his help on a new series of murders. Eventually, Corey overpowers Michael and steals his mask, causing Michael to leave the sewers and hunt down Corey for revenge. It just so happens that he finds Corey at Laurie Strode's house, where he kills Corey and begins to fight Laurie. Laurie gets the best of Michael, though, and finally kills him in her kitchen. Michael's dead body is then paraded through town and thrown into a junkyard grinder, ending his reign of terror forever - hopefully.

Laurie Strode

Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode in Halloween Ends

Laurie Strode, the original final girl, has been the protagonist of the Halloween series since it started in 1978, with Jamie Lee Curtis' iconic character now being more hardened and aged. Although she had been living like a hermit in Halloween and Halloween Kills, preparing for Michael's return, Laurie decides to live a normal life after the ending of Halloween Kills, with her buying a suburban home and living with her granddaughter, Allyson. In the time between the films, Laurie has started writing a memoir, while also cultivating a budding relationship with officer Frank Hawkins. Once Corey and Michael's new killings start, though, Laurie becomes paranoid, warning Allyson to stay away from Corey, thus creating a rift between the two. Laurie is eventually proven right, with her finally killing Michael Myers, allowing her to finish her memoir and enter into a relationship with Frank by the end of the movie.

Allyson Nelson

Allyson Nelson in Halloween Ends

Allyson Nelson is Laurie Strode's granddaughter, with her acting as the protagonist of 2018's Halloween. After the tragedies in the previous films, including her losing both her parents and her boyfriend at the hands of Michael Myers, Allyson is now living with Laurie and working a job at the local hospital. Halloween Ends focuses on Allyson's new relationship with Corey Cunningham, who, unbeknownst to her, is Haddonfield's newest killer. Laurie figures this out and attempts to tell Allyson, but Allyson doesn't believe her, causing a rift in their relationship. However, once Corey is exposed and killed, Allyson decides that it is finally time to move on, with her leaving Haddonfield for an unknown location at the ending of Halloween Ends.

Lindsey Wallace

Kyle-Richards-Halloween-Ends

Lindsey Wallace is one of the kids Laurie babysits in the original Halloween, with Lindsey first reappearing in Halloween Kills. Sadly, Lindsey doesn't really do much in Halloween Ends. It is revealed that she is a bartender and that she has remained close friends with Laurie, hanging out at her house and doing tarot card readings early in the film. However, she is mostly absent from the latter half of the movie, with Halloween Ends wasting Lindsey's potential and leaving her story unresolved.

Frank Hawkins

Deputy Frank Hawkins in the Halloween reboot

Frank Hawkins is a Haddonfield officer who responded to the original Michael Myers killings, with him later being injured and put into the same hospital room as Laurie in Halloween Kills. Hawkins' few appearances in Halloween Ends are brief, with his interactions with Laurie building the relationship that is set up in Halloween Kills. After Laurie kills Michael, she rediscovers her romance with Officer Hawkins, with Halloween Ends closing on a shot of the two sitting on Laurie's front porch.

Sheriff Barker

Sheriff Barker looks at the destruction caused by Michael Myers in Halloween Kills

Sheriff Barker is the current sheriff of Haddonfield, with him playing a fairly significant role in the previous two films. Barker is shown to initially be a skeptic of Michael Myers' return, with him attempting to keep Haddonfield calm, although he later comes to terms with the killings. Barker doesn't show up until the end of Halloween Ends, with him escorting Michael Myers' dead body to the junkyard crusher.

Oscar’s Mom

Oscar Halloween Kills

Oscar is a friend of Allyson in the first Halloween, with his mom playing a very small role in the film. Michael Myers kills Oscar in Halloween by impaling him on a sharp fence, with his body being discovered in Halloween Kills. Oscar's Mom only appears in a single shot of Halloween Ends, where it is revealed that she hung herself while wearing the costume Oscar died in, giving a tragic ending to this fairly small character.

Sondra Dickerson

Sondra watches Michael Myers attack Phil in Halloween Kills

Sondra Dickerson is one of the early victims of Michael Myers in Halloween Kills, with the killer breaking into her house, killing her husband, and stabbing her neck with a fluorescent light bulb. Although she was presumed dead, Sondra surprisingly reappears in Halloween Ends, with her and a relative harassing Laurie Strode in a grocery store parking lot. It is revealed that, although Sondra survived Michael Myers' attempted murder in Halloween Kills, she is now wheelchair-bound and unable to talk - another one of the franchise's many sad endings.

Julian Morrisey

Julian in Halloween 2018

Julian Morrisey is a young child that appears in all three films in the reboot trilogy, with his babysitter being killed by Michael in Halloween. Julian appears again in Halloween Kills, where he is being interviewed on TV. Julian also makes a cameo in Halloween Ends, with him being in the crowd during Michael Myers' junkyard procession, showing that he luckily survived the horrors of Michael Myers. There are all kinds of returning characters in Halloween Ends, giving the franchise and most of its characters proper conclusions.
