Halloween Ends marks the conclusion of a 45-year era, presided over by scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis and her never-ending battle against the evil incarnate that is Michael Myers. Her story as Laurie Strode began in the now-iconic 1978 horror film Halloween, which saw her narrowly escaping death at his hands several times while merely a high school student. Over the course of now 13 films, she has grown stronger and more hardened while her mortal enemy refuses to stay dead and buried—but it all ends (we hope) tonight.

To celebrate the last installment in the franchise, Meta’s Messenger, Instagram, Meta Horizon Worlds, and Creative Shop are joining forces with Universal Pictures to premiere a thrilling Messenger chat experience: custom Halloween Reels for fans to have fun with. Users can choose one of several spooky scenes to craft #KillerReels where they act chilling moments out, try on their most blood-curdling scream, and tell Jamie Lee Curtis what she and Halloween Ends mean to them.

Messenger and Instagram are also offering other Halloween season-themed options for users more generally inclined to the Autumn vibes. Both platforms will have a Spooky Vibes Chat Theme, which can be accessed by opening a chat thread and heading to settings, or by typing “/” and tapping “/theme” from the command picker in Messenger iOS and Android. On Instagram, users can open a chat thread and select the information button, then choose "theme" to find the spooky vibes they deserve. Messenger is also offering camera stickers, which allow users to take a photo or video in the app and access "Spooky Vibes" stickers among the emoticons.
