Michael Myers lurks in the dark in a new image from Halloween Ends, the final entry in the latest Halloween trilogy. Michael Myers has been the pinnacle of fictional slasher-killer since his debut in John Carpenter's 1978 film Halloween. Michael Myers' most recent character appearance was in 2021's Halloween Kills, a sequel that starred Jamie Lee Curtis.

Michael Myers returns to the screen once more with Halloween Ends. As the title suggests, Halloween Ends will supposedly be the final installment of the Halloween franchise. Curtis returns to play Laurie Strode, who works to defeat Michael Myers once and for all, and David Gordon Green returns to direct Halloween Ends. Green previously helmed Halloween Kills and the 2018 reboot of Halloween. As the creepy trailer for Halloween Ends suggests, Halloween Ends will face an epic climax as Laurie Strode and Michael Myers fight for the end.

In anticipation of the release of Halloween Ends, Fandango revealed a new image from the film. In the picture, Michael Myers is seen partially in shadow. He stands on a stairwell will blue floral wallpaper. Only a single, eerie stream of what looks like moonlight illuminates the lit part of his face. The photo is captioned with a synopsis that indicates that only one of the two will be left alive after their final battle. Check out the image below:

This creepy look gives a glimpse of what's to come when Halloween Ends hits theaters and Peacock. The image pairs a seemingly peaceful house environment with the malicious killer, Michael Myers. According to the synopsis given by Fandango, Halloween Ends will begin while Laurie Strode is "living quietly" with her granddaughter Allyson, played by Andi Matichak. This peace is disrupted by Laurie's overwhelming desire to take down Michael Myers once and for all, setting up a stark contrast between Laurie's peaceful life and the far more violent battle between her and Michael Myers. This dichotomy is ripe for interesting tonal shifts and character development as Laurie confronts the masked killer in an attempt to end the saga while longing for the serenity of the life she had been living.

Curtis has been playing Laurie Strode for over 40 years. Now 63 years old, Curtis will have the opportunity to play a grandmotherly, older version of her character. If this image is any indication, Green will use this opportunity to play with Laurie Strode's development, introducing moments of violence against the moments of calm that Laurie experiences when finally settling down. With the star power of Curtis, decades of development, and a spine-chilling first glimpse at Michael Myers, Halloween Ends could become both the most terrifying and the most satisfying Halloween franchise film yet.
