Hades, the recent smash-hit rogue-like, is filled with lots of additions that keep players coming back for more. One of these is The Fated List of Minor Prophecies, an item that unlocks the in-game prophecy system. Playing as Zagreus, son of Hades, you'll embark on numerous grueling runs in an attempt to escape the Underworld. Failing will land you back in Hades' central hub, which is full of tons of additional content to explore.

Once you've unlocked The Fated List in Hades, you'll be able to pursue various prophecies, which can be thought of similarly to achievements. Many are completed by fulfilling a set of requirements, either while battling through to the ending of the Underworld or back in the hub. This guide will briefly cover how to unlock The Fated List of Minor Prophecies, and further explain how it works.

The Fated List is available to purchase for 20 gemstones from the House Contractor, an NPC which will appear next to Hades' desk after the first few runs. To obtain enough gemstones, pay attention during a run to the reward icons displayed before each room. Some indicate that gemstones will be rewarded for clearing that room. Usually, around 5 are rewarded per room, so save these up and the Fated List will be accessible shortly.

Once purchased, the Fated List will appear in Zagreus' room, on the desk to the left of the entrance. Here players can view all available prophecies in Hades, though the list is limited in the beginning. More prophecies are unlocked through a variety of conditions, such as developing relationships with particular characters, or selecting all of the boons from a particular god. Others appear once you've obtained all six Infernal arms.

While these prophecies aren't the main focus of Hades, they are a useful way to obtain substantial quantities of in-game resources. Many rare items, like ambrosia, diamonds, and titan's blood, are received as rewards for the completion of prophecies. These resources can be used to progress various aspects of the game, such as unlocking weapon aspects, and this makes The Fated List a valuable tool for mid to late-game progression.

Unfortunately, The Fated List cannot be accessed during a single Hades run, so it's necessary to keep track of prophecies elsewhere. One strategy is to write the prophecy down, or to keep it open online and use alt+tab to check its requirements during the run. It's also useful to decide ahead of time whether a run will be dedicated to completing a prophecy or attempting to beat the game. Prophecy requirements often stipulate that certain boons be chosen, or certain weapons used, and this can get in the way of achieving the perfect game-winning build. Once unlocked, Hades' Fated List of Minor Prophecies offers even more ways to enjoy this highly-acclaimed indie hit, and is well worth exploring.
