Here's the classic song cover featured in the "Summer In H&M Summerwear" commercial. H&M was founded in 1947 by Erling Persson in Sweden, with the very first store named Hennes, which means "hers." In 1968 the brand was renamed Hennes & Mauritz after it acquired retailer Mauritz Wildforss. Over the years the brand officially became known simply as H&M and expanded from focusing on women's clothing to men and children too. It's now one of the biggest fashion retailers in the world.

It thus stands to reason that H&M has attracted many singers as both designers and models. Lana Del Rey, for example, became the face of the brand's Fall campaign in 2012, where she paid homage to director David Lynch - who she has cited as a major influence on her work - by singing a cover of "Blue Velvet" and modeling in H&M clothes. Other famous models for the chain include singer/actor Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Beyoncé.

Beyoncé used her song "Standing on the Sun" for her campaign, and being one of the biggest brands in the world affords H&M big pockets when it comes to paying for using hit songs. Their advert "Summer In H&M Swimwear" is fronted by plus-size model Paloma Elsesser, who dives off a cliff and goes for a peaceful swim in the ocean. Already in the water are models of differing body types such as Yumi Nu and Bintou Sillah, and since they're enjoying the silence, it makes sense the advert is set to a cover of "Enjoy The Silence" by Depeche Mode (whose "Policy Of Truth" featured in Death On The Nile's trailer.)

"Summer In H&M Swimwear's" cover of "Enjoy The Silence" is sung by Fousheé. The original song is one of Depeche Mode's most famous, becoming a hit in the U.S. and UK in 1990. The song came from their album Violator and has since been covered by artists such as Tori Amos and metal band Lacuna Coil. Fousheé is an artist who famously went viral when a sample of one of her songs was used on the Sleepy Hallow track "Deep End (Freestyle).

Her voice is perfectly suited to the mellow vibe of the "Summer In H&M Swimwear commercial" as Paloma Elsesser and her fellow models chill to the music. The advert is far from the first time Depeche Mode music has appeared in other media, with some of their other hits like "Personal Jesus" appearing in Fear The Walking Dead or Netflix's The Last Days Of American Crime. "I Just Can't Get Enough" has also featured on the likes of Derry Girls and Riverdale.
