Gwyneth Paltrow has once more forgotten she was in Spider-Man: Homecoming. This is not the first time Paltrow has forgotten she was in Spider-Man: Homecomingeither. While on co-star Jon Favreau's Netflix cooking show The Chef Show, Paltrow denied having been in any Spider-Man movies until shown a clip of her scenes in Homecoming. After being shown the scene, she was apparently surprised to learn that was Spider-Man and not a different Avengers movie. Paltrow may have forgotten one of the many MCU movies she was in as a side character, but she has also forgotten entire co-stars, including Tom Holland who plays Spider-Man and was reportedly heartbroken to find out she forgot they worked together.

Paltrow has also forgotten Sebastian Stan who plays Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier, and she seems to have forgotten not only Stan but his character's name. In an interview with EllePaltrow explained she keeps forgetting which MCU movies she's been in because of the overlapping production schedules and general similarity in her role from movie to movie. However, that doesn't explain why she forgets entire co-stars including Samuel L. Jackson. How anyone forgets Samuel L. Jackson is unknown.

It has happened again, this time on Instagram but noticed by Comments by Celebs. Paltrow commented on a photo of Zendaya in a sculpted pink top saying they finally had something in common, as Paltrow wore the same top for her photo which will be on the cover of next month's Harper's Bazaar. However, Zendaya starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming as MJ, one of Peter Parker's classmates, meaning she and Paltrow already had something in common.

Though Paltrow and Zendaya were both in Spider-Man: Homecoming, they don't really have shared screen time. However, neither are insignificant to the plot. One would hope that eventually someone would help Paltrow keep track of what superhero movies she has been in and with what co-stars. Forgetfulness on the part of stars is nothing new in Hollywood of course and has even become a trope when poking fun at celebrities. Not remembering everyone doesn't have to indicate malice or a lack of caring.

Of course, there have been numerous suggestions that Paltrow might wish to stop acting in the MCU franchise. She seems to still be doing so, although her potential role in Spider-Man: Far From Home never made it to the screen. The incredible demand of meeting many overlapping production schedules on different parts of a long and involved storyline may be some of the motivation. Still, Spider-Man: Homecoming seems to have become a particularly difficult blind spot for Gwyneth Paltrow.
