Star of The Voice, Gwen Stefani squashed engagement rumors. She confirmed that the diamond ring she wore on her left hand during the 2019 People's Choice Awards was in fact from her boyfriend Blake Shelton, but that it isn't an engagement ring
The Voice couple began dating in September of 2015 during season 9 when they coached on the show together. The No Doubt singer was previously married to Bush's frontman, Gavin Rossdale. The couple married in 2002 and welcomed three sons together, Kingston, 13, Zuma,11, and Apollo, 5. It was revealed that Gavin had a long-term affair with the family nanny and it was the beginning of the end for the married couple. The two finalized their divorce in April 2016. Blake had been married twice before, first in 2003 with his highschool sweetheart, Kaynette Williams, and then again in 2011 to a fellow country artist, Miranda Lambert. Blake and Miranda's relationship fell apart in 2015 and they filed for divorce around the time pop singer and rebel girl Gwen met the country artist Blake.
Though no fans would have initially envisioned these two ever becoming a couple, the pair have dated so far four years and there are no signs of their romance slowing down. After receiving her Fashion Icon Award at the 2019 People's Choice Awards, and to live up to her title, her look was iconic. She wore a white Vera Wang gown with the words "fashion icon" embroidered on her long train in medieval-style font. During her speech, she gave a shout out Blake and fans couldn't help but notice that giant diamond ring Gwen had on her left ring finger. Gwen revealed the truth behind the ring (via E! Online) saying, "It might be a real ring, a real diamond but it's not a wedding ring. No, no."
The 50-year-old pop hitmaker revealed why she put the sparkly ring on that hand, saying, "It actually doesn't fit over the glove on this hand so I put it on this hand. But good, right?" She then assured fans that if she had any good news, she'd share it with everyone. She said, "When I have something to say, I'll say it." After Gwen received her People's Choice Award, Blake was called up to the stage after being announced as the winner of The Country Artist of 2019 award. He went to the stage and told Gwen at the end of his speech, "I love the sh*t out of you."
It seems that this music power couple is only falling deeper in love. Fans can be assured by Gwen that when the happy news that the two love birds will be getting hitched, they will be the first to know. In the meantime, fans can continue watching these two bicker like a married couple on The Voice.
