Guardromon is a mech Digimon that players can befriend in Digimon Survive. The game follows eighth-grade protagonist Takuma Momozuka around an alternate world with his Digimon companion Agumon. Along the way, players can encounter over a hundred different Digimon and either fight or befriend them. When a player encounters a Digimon for the first time, they can choose to have a conversation with it instead of fighting; this is the main way that players can add more Digimon to the team in Digimon Survive.
Like most of the other Digimon, Guardromon can be befriended by correctly answering a series of questions. Each Digimon in Digimon Survive has a different personality, and catering to that personality is the secret to befriending it and adding it to the team. Players who are looking to befriend Guardromon should be prepared to answer correctly.
To befriend and get Guardromon in Digimon Survive, players need to earn at least three points by answering questions that appeal to its efficient yet violent side. Since Guardromon relies on programming to understand behavior, players need to cater to this efficiency and desire to protect. Guardromon does not respond well to overly emotional answers, like the sensitive amphibian Digimon Betamon.
How To Befriend Guardromon In Digimon Survive
Guardromon can be encountered near the end of Part 4 in Digimon Survive. Once players get through the amusement park invasion, they can enter into a Free Battle in the arena. Here, Guardromon can be encountered, though there is no guarantee when it will show up. After this part of the story, Guardromon will appear more frequently in battle.
Once players find Guardromon, speak with it. When answering questions, the friendship bar above Guardromon's head needs to be at least 50% full to be able to befriend it. Players will need to answer questions; there are four answer choices for each question, and they are worth a variable amount of points. Since Guardromon is an efficient protector Digimon, players should give a similarly styled answer choice. - Question: What would you do if someone told you an idea you believed in was incorrect? | Answer: Get Annoyed!
- Question: I'd like to avoid a pointless battle, if possible... | Answer: And yet fight we must.
- Question: Sometimes you should act on emotion instead of logic, don't you think? | Answer: Efficiency is key.
