Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has already premiered to rave reviews, but filmmaker James Gunn thinks fans who want the full experience should check it out on ScreenX. The Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy comes to a close with its most recent, and perhaps most emotional, outing — and the space adventures are more expansive than ever before. Returning stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, and Karen Gillan are joined by newcomers to the MCU such as Chukwudi Iwuji and Will Poulter, but the true star of the show is Rocket.

The newest Guardians of the Galaxy film explores the backstory of Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper and physically played by Sean Gunn), which takes the franchise to locations audiences have never seen before. To add to that, the action on Knowhere intensifies and allows for several thrilling action scenes that involve nearly every character from the previous films. For these reasons and more, Gunn spoke on the enhancements of ScreenX in a recent interview.

Why ScreenX Is Right For Guardians of the Galaxy

While promoting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Gunn expressed his enthusiasm for ScreenX, highlighting its ability to broaden the cinematic experience and allow viewers to "completely immerse" themselves in the story. With emotions already running high as fan-favorite characters close out their MCU arcs, the panoramic visuals of ScreenX provide a lifetime experience. Similar to IMAX, films must be formatted for ScreenX during shooting or post-production, creating a 270-degree panoramic experience that enhances the onscreen visuals and the film's narrative by expanding key selected scenes onto the left and right walls of the auditorium. As a result, supplementary imagery, specifically developed by the AFX team, is projected onto the walls during action sequences and crucial scenic moments, filling the viewer's peripheral vision and drawing them deeper into the story.

Gunn went on to tease the ScreenX scenes he's most excited to witness from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. According to the director, "ScreenX is perfect" for the new and impressive outer space sets. After all, much of the third Guardians film takes place in a gigantic satellite grown from organic matter and there's no better way to experience the team's hilarious discomfort than to surround oneself in it.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is in theaters now, playing wherever ScreenX is available.
