The latest Marvel Games and Adidas team up has resulted in a new pair of Forum Hi shoes inspired by Star-Lord from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. This isn't the first time the two entities have joined forces; it likely won't serve as the last, either. One such collaboration saw Miles Morales' Adidas from the PlayStation game brought to life in a slick pair of red and black kicks, complete with a cleverly implemented webbed design and PlayStation tag attached to the shoe laces.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy similarly boasts a bold style that begs for real-world replication in one way or another. From the incredible 80s-inspired soundtrack to the over-the-top presentation of the characters and world, Eidos-Montréal's first foray into the galactic side of the Marvel universe oozes a distinct flair all its own. And it's being further appreciated via a partnership with Adidas that's sure to excite many a sneaker collector.

Adidas' latest Marvel-inspired shoe design follows in the footsteps of Star-Lord from the Guardians of the Galaxy game. The off-white and light blue sneaker boasts a yellowed look, as if marked by years of wear and tear. In addition, the Guardians logo hangs over the tongue and one side of the shoe features Star-Lord's initials with a skull painted between the "S" and "L." As with all kicks of this nature, the GOTG Forum Hi sneakers will prove difficult to secure, a problem exacerbated by supply chain issues. Senior Director of Product Development at Marvel Games, Eric Monacelli, recently informed interested buyers of "some delays in the supply chain." In replies to a Twitter thread, Monacelli noted limited quantities will be available in regions such as the US and UK, though the specific breakdown of numbers isn't known even to him.

Eidos-Montréal and Adidas worked together to ensure the shoes looked character-specific to Star-Lord. And it seems to have paid off. The sneakers appear as though they'd fit right at home in the world of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Publisher Square Enix released the title late last month on consoles and PC to widespread acclaim. The praise came as somewhat of a surprise, too, given the quick turnaround between its announcement and release, which left some to believe Square Enix had little confidence in the project. If that was the case, the positive word of mouth suggests the publisher didn't have much to worry about in the long run.
