Walt Disney World gives fans a first look at its upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy coaster. The Disney parks have embraced a trend of incorporating the MCU in its upcoming attractions. Disneyland in California is building an entire section devoted to Marvel titled Avengers Campus. The main attraction will be a Spider-Man themed ride "WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure." Guests will also have the opportunity to greet their favorite Avengers characters and train to become a hero themselves.

The official Disney Parks YouTube channel uploaded a first look at Epcot's upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy ride. It is classified as an Omnicoaster and is one of the first of its kind. The ride's vehicles can rotate 360 degrees and perform a reverse launch. The ride can be programmed to rotate riders in any direction at any point of the ride while traveling at high speeds. The video shows the vehicle rotating seamlessly as it soars throughout the exhilarating course. In addition to the rotation, the tracks also tilt riders as they travel through turns, increasing the ride's high-thrill factor.

The ride is called "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind." For now, the ride is only set to open in Florida's Walt Disney World Epcot park.  It is set to open in 2021 and is taking the place of the former Universe of Energy attraction. Disney describes it as a family-friendly "storytelling coaster" like no other. The coaster itself will feature scenes embracing the themes of the movie. Additionally, there will be exhibitions in the attraction before the coaster that will merge Guardians of the Galaxy with Epcot's theme of science and technology.
