The first official Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 poster is here, revealing a look at the new team all together. The third Guardians of the Galaxy movie finds Chris Pratt's Peter Quill still reeling from the loss of Gamora as he must rally his ragtag team to protect the galaxy one last time. The threequel, which is once again written and directed by James Gunn, brings back all the main cast members for what will be the end of the Guardians in their current form.

Now, in conjunction with the first Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailer, Marvel Studios has unveiled the first official poster for the threequel. The poster reunites Gamora (Zoe Saldaña) with the team, which includes Star-Lord, Drax (Dave Bautista), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Nebula (Karen Gillan), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Kraglin (Sean Gunn). Also present on the poster is Cosmo the Spacedog, who joined the team during The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special and is now voiced by Borat 2's Maria Bakalova. How Gamora & The Guardians Can Reunite In Vol. 3

Gamora looking to her left in Avengers: Endgame

Thanos sacrificed Gamora to obtain the Soul Stone during Avengers: Infinity War, though Avengers Endgame's time travel brought an earlier version of Gamora back to the present day. Because she has no memory of Peter or the other Guardians, Gamora left shortly after Thanos was defeated during Endgame. Since then, it's unclear what she has been up to. Meanwhile, the Guardians spent some time with Thor, though they quickly went their separate ways in the opening minutes of Thor: Love & Thunder. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special confirmed they've set up a new homebase on Knowhere and are still fighting the good fight.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. trailer revealed a look at Gamora's return. She is now leading the Ravagers, an interstellar crime syndicate previously led by Michael Rooker's Yondu. With this in mind, Gamora will likely blaze her own trail in Vol. 3 for some time before reuniting with the Guardians. Glimpses of their anticipated reunion can be seen in the trailer and the new poster, which shows the team seated on top of their new spaceship the Bowie in front a serene galactic sunset.

Exactly how Gamora and the Guardians reunite in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 remains to be seen. However, it will likely have something to do with Peter persisting on getting Gamora to fall in love with him again. The Ravagers' new leader will also likely help the Guardians combat some new characters, such as Adam Warlock (Will Poulter), who was created by Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) to destroy the Guardians, and the formidable new villain known as the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji). Whatever compels Gamora to rejoin the Guardians, it will surely be an emotional ride when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 releases in theaters.
