Marvel Studios has released a new TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, teasing that not everything is going to be easy for the heroes in this highly-anticipated sequel. At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy, the group of misfit criminals had done exactly what the title promised. They saved the entire galaxy, angering a few others in the process - and not just enemies Thanos, Ronan, and Nebula. They also upset the Ravagers, who the Guardians had actually teamed up with in order to achieve their goals and then betrayed by tricking them into thinking Yondu had The Infinity Stone (it's with the Nova Corps. instead). It looks like you can't save the galaxy without making a few enemies.

One of the promises of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is that some previous enemies will turn into allies. Yondu and Nebula will be teaming up with the Guardians. There are some family issues that will need dealing with in order to make this work. Nebula and Gamora are sisters who loathe each other, to the point they're ready to kill. And Yondu raised Star-Lord, after abducting him as a child. Now that Star-Lord is meeting his father, he might find out how his life would have been different if Yondu had delivered him to his dad like he was supposed to.

In a new TV spot - seen above - that James Gunn released on his Facebook page, there is a bit more focus on the Guardians' enemies than their allies. It opens with Star-Lord listing the people who want The Guardians dead: the Sovereigns and the Ravagers. And then the hits keep coming, as the Guardians struggle to stay alive in a montage of incidents and attacks. Some of the footage has been seen before, and some it new, including a different comedic take on familiar moment.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 full team

The Sovereigns are a race of people whose planet is threatened by the Abilisk and who will be hiring the Guardians to help them, in exchange for Nebula. Apparently things are not going to go exactly according to plan, if they end up targeting the same team they hired to protect them.

As for the Ravagers, it looks like they might have a change in leadership soon. In this spot, Yondu is leading them in an attack against the Guardians. So if he teams up with them at some point in the film, the Ravagers will have to decide whether they are following their leader, or continuing to see the Guardians as enemies. Considering they were tricked the last time they teamed up with their former ally Star-Lord, they might not be too eager to team up with the Guardians again. Even if Yondu does join the heroes, it seems more likely that the other Ravagers will not follow his lead.

The Sovereigns and the Ravagers could not be more different. Where the Sovereigns are genetically perfect, the Ravagers are a motley crew of different species. It has also been indicated in the past that they are not all the best thinkers in the galaxy. So if the Guardians are fighting both groups at the same time, they'll need to attempt some very different techniques to figure out what works against both sides. In any case, it looks like the team will have their hands very full in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
