Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 has been heavily promoted in the past few weeks, with a brand new trailer dropping earlier in the month (which almost beat a record set by Beauty and the Beast) and a variety of different quotes from those involved in the production and from the cast of the movie, cropping up every few days. Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper all return for the sequel, with various other A-listers slated to make an appearance. Though there are still more than five months left before the film’s official release, it’s clear Disney and Marvel Studios are putting a lot of effort into ensuring the movie is as successful as its predecessor.

Earlier this month, toy manufacturing company Hasbro decided to unveil a selection of their upcoming new collection of Guardians of the Galaxy toys, with Star-Lord, Drax and Yondu figurines unveiled, all influenced by their counterparts in the live-action Guardians movies. Various characters were missing from the line-up however, but today a few more familiar faces have now been added.

Hasbro has now unveiled even more of their new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 toy collection, focusing on their Titan Hero 12-inch figurines, two role-playing masks, a pair of blasters and even a Groot-shaped version of Bop It!. It’s great to finally see a Gamora figure added to the Guardians collection, after so much was said about Hasbro’s decision to not to include a number of female characters in their previous play sets for franchises that they created merchandise for. Whether or not more female toys will follow is still up in the air, though Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2 writer/director James Gunn has promised to make sure that toys for female characters like Nebula are included in the upcoming play-sets for the Guardians movie sequel.

What’s also curious is how Hasbro have decided that one of the first - not the first - Baby Groot toys to be revealed (we predict there will be many more) would be the company’s unique take on popular game Bop It!. There aren’t any clear signs as to how the game would be played with the Groot figure, so it will be interesting when fans are able to get their hands on it and find out how everything works.
