Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 fans who purchase the movie will get a special treat, as director James Gunn is currently working on a music video for the end credits song "Inferno" to be included in the home release. This comes on the heels of Gunn revealing that when the movie hits Blu-ray and Digital, it will be the first MCU/Disney film to be available in 4K UltraHD.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. follows the adventures of Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Drax and Baby Groot as they go up against an evil planet-sized alien entity named Ego, whose human form (Kurt Russell) is revealed to be Star-Lord's long-lost father. Like the first Guardians of the Galaxy, the action is scored with selections from a mix tape given to Star-Lord by his mother nostalgically featuring music from the '70s and '80s. In addition to needle-drops featuring Fleetwood Mac, ELO, George Harrison and Cheap Trick among others, Guardians 2 soundtrack also includes an original disco song called "Inferno" written by Gunn and performed by the fictional band The Sneepers, with David Hasselhoff.

Gunn has revealed in a tweet that he is hard at work on a music video for "Inferno" to be included as one of the special features on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when it comes to home video. The boogie-ing dance track originally played during the highly imaginative (and Easter-Egg-filled) end credits for the movie. Gunn also tweeted artwork for the music video, with David Hasselhoff front-and-center along with other members of The Sneepers, some of whom look suspiciously like Guardians 2 stars Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Sean Gunn.

This may be the greatest thing I’ve ever worked on - a #GuardiansInferno video coming with #GotGVol2 on home video. pic.twitter.com/1VQp8eXzAs— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 10, 2017

The pop soundtrack was only one of many elements that helped push Guardians 2 to worldwide blockbuster status, taking in $858 million to date including $385 million domestically. Pressure was on James Gunn to repeat the success of the original Guardians, which made $773 million worldwide in 2014, and he succeeded by keeping a lot of the same humor and fun while expanding the action and visuals and developing the relationships between the characters. The Guardians will next be seen teaming with The Avengers to battle the cosmic supervillain Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, and after that will come Guardians of the Galaxy 3.
