In a hilarious turn of events, one Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition player has been comically dragged out of their vehicle by a teleporting cop, ruining their attempt at the "Cone Crazy" driving mission. The long-anticipated GTA remaster trilogy was announced in October in celebration of Grand Theft Auto III's 20th anniversary and recently released across consoles and PC. The remastered collection allows modern audiences to experience the classic PS2-era titles - Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - available in a single package, though the release has seen backlash from fans due to its performance, bugs and graphical glitches.

Released in 2002, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City takes the series to the tropical location of Vice City, based in Miami, Florida during the 1980s. Although not a massive visual leap from its predecessor, the title introduces many new elements to the series and went on to receive critical acclaim for its music, gameplay, story, and its open-world, which hosted a handful of memorable characters and iconic moments. While the GTA trilogy remaster is maligned for its numerous issues, the Vice City remaster is considered the best game in the remastered collection based on visuals and performance.

Shared on Reddit, user ZonZolto posted a clip of themselves being randomly troubled by a glitched cop while attempting to finish the game's "Cone Crazy" vehicle challenge. During the clip, the player can be seen on top of the parking garage near the North Point Mall attempting to complete the side mission by collecting all of the checkpoints without breaking any traffic cones in a speedy matter. Sadly this goes wrong, as a teleporting cop pulls the player out of their vehicle before they grab the next checkpoint. The cop then can be seen slowly walking away while the player stares at the mission failed screen in a dramatic yet hilarious turn of events.

Despite being the main antagonists of the series, police officers are known as one of Grand Theft Auto's most memorable aspects and players can find distinctive NPCs in each title. In a similar situation, one player cruising around looking for a fare during a taxi mission in Vice City witnessed a cop murder a customer in front of their eyes. Taking into consideration how random or violent police officers in each title can be, this may not come off as surprising.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is known as one of the greatest games of 2002 and its iconic moments and characters give players a reason to regularly replay the title. Though Vice City is considered to have aged poorly, the assortment of its aesthetics and general storytelling offers something for everyone and will continue to do so for years to come. While many have been disappointed in the GTA trilogy remaster, Rockstar has promised fixes are on the way, which could indeed one day make it the definitive way to play Vice City.
