LadyHope, a Twitch streamer known for her GTA Online streams on the NoPixel RP server, was recently banned for reading aloud hate mail she received from a fan of fellow streamer xQc. Grand Theft Auto RP (roleplay) has quickly become quite popular on the platform, with many Twitch streamers playing in the role-play server NoPixel. Twitch streamer and personality Félix Lengyel, better-known by his alias xQc, is among the most popular GTA RP streamers.

GTA RP has experienced a massive popularity spike in recent weeks, with many Twitch users streaming their roleplay experiences for other to enjoy. Recent data even shows that FiveM, the custom-made client used to run the game's role-playing servers, has surpassed Rockstar Games' official PC version in Steam player counts. Data recently revealed that 250,000 concurrent players were using FiveM for role-playing purposes, while the officially-released Steam version of Grand Theft Auto V had only 80,000 players. This demonstrates that a majority of the eight-year old game's player base is role-playing instead of playing the vanilla title (at least on PC).

A Dexerto report reveals that GTA RP streamer LadyHope was recently banned from Twitch for reading hate mail she received from an xQc fan. The drama began on May 4 when xQc's unlawful NoPixel character was confronted and arrested by a police officer character created by LadyHope. Fans watching xQc's Twitch stream were enraged by the confrontation, with one user sending LadyHope an abusive email. The streamer read the email aloud while streaming, and her Twitch account was subsequently suspended due to her repetition of violent hate speech, despite obviously being the victim of the situation. However, Twitch later reversed the suspension and apologized, citing the incident as a mistake.

xQc has repeatedly gotten into trouble on Twitch and the megapopular GTA RP server, with his aggressively defensive fanbase largely to blame. Early last month, xQc was banned from NoPixelafter encouraging his viewers to enter other users' streams and harass them. This ban was xQc's third, with the first two bans stemming from breaking NoPixel server rules by running a fellow player over with a car and using an unauthorized glitch to attack the server's police force. Hostility seems to be present throughout the GTA RP community, as several streamers have spoken out about negativity and abuse. Prominent streamers Valkyrae and Summit1g even suggested that hostile viewers have made them consider leaving the roleplay community entirely.

Grand Theft Auto RP can be a great source of entertainment for both streamers and their audience. However, the game's community appears to be growing increasingly hostile towards those act against their favorite streamers, despite everything onscreen being made-up and for fun. xQc's audience has proven particularly volatile, and this toxic behavior towards fellow Twitch streamers like LadyHope will only continue to result in their own fun being spoiled.
