The latest GTA Online update, Los Santos Tuners, largely focuses on cars and street racing, but there are still some heists for the player to undertake. One such heist included in the new GTA Online update has an incredibly meta-reference to one of cinema's greatest characters, The Terminator. In one of the missions, players can find someone who is borderline unkillable and will actively fight to try and take down the player as they try to steal a truck.

The new GTA Online update has largely been well-received by players, as it gets back to some of the more grounded roots of the game. Although there are still some outlandish missions in the update, the main draw is players now having the ability to really show off their slick rides and trick them out even further. That said, fans have noticed that a peculiar, almost supernatural entity has been added to the game.

As pointed out by GTA Series Videos on YouTube, a character that resembles The Terminator can be found in The Prison Contract heist. A set-up mission can take players to one of two movie sets at a studio backlot or, perhaps even more fittingly, the Los Santos River which mimics the LA River seen in the iconic chase scene in Terminator 2. The leather jacket-wearing NPC boasts a shotgun, sunglasses, and will even get up after seemingly being killed. Still, many players don't think this NPC is nearly as annoying as GTA Online's KDJ and Sessanta, the two characters who give you many of the missions in the latest update.

Some players may think this NPC is just glitched, but upon closer inspection, will realize it's a very intentional touch by Rockstar. It doesn't really make a lot of sense why this actor that's supposed to probably be playing a parody of The Terminator actually possesses the abilities of the movie character, but that's beside the point. Rockstar has incorporated many fun Easter eggs to reference various films in Grand Theft Auto V, such as 007.

The new GTA Online update has a number of other fun Easter eggs based on films. Players can find a bunch of vehicles inspired by iconic movie cars at the car meet, such as Paul Walker's Toyota Supra from The Fast and Furious and the Ford-5 Window Coupe from American Graffiti. Although many players may not catch these small details, lovers of cinema will surely appreciate these various references in GTA Online.
