The latest Grand Theft Auto Online patch brought with it a new robbery mission, additional exotic vehicles, unlockables, and more, in addition to the usual collection of limited-time deals and bonuses. It's yet another batch of content added to the game this summer, a season defined by the GTA Online Los Santos Tuners update.

Rockstar's GTA Online is the multiplayer side of Grand Theft Auto V, taking place in the same fictional city of Los Santos and featuring many of the single-player story's characters. Along with customizing their avatars and participating in various PvP and PvE activities, players in GTA Online have access to a number of different heists and narrative-driven missions that they can tackle solo or with other players. These missions typically involve some degree of planning and multiple phases. For some time now, Rockstar has continued to issue weekly updates to the multiplayer game, and these often include new purchasable vehicles. A recent example was GTA Online's Pfister Comet S2, which was added in the wake of the larger Los Santos Tuners expansion.

The massive online game got even more substantial content with Thursday's update. A breakdown by Rockstar Games details these new additions, which include new supercars, limited-time unlockables, vehicle trials, and discounts on several items from the in-game marketplace. The most notable of these additions is a contract related to The Lost MC biker gang. The description for this new mission is scant but mentions that the gang is sitting on a "sizable score" thanks to money and resources earned through their drug-dealing business.

There has been plenty of biker-related content added to GTA Online previously, so many are likely primed for a chance to take on the menacing motorcycle gang. The fact that this contract features an organization that has been a long-time staple in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is also sure to please fans, as a memorable GTA IV expansion actually starred a member of The Lost. Whether players are familiar with club or not, the collection of missions will do its part to keep the eight-year-old title somewhat fresh.

While there may be Rockstar fans who have tired of the live-service approach and would prefer that the studio put more effort into making full-fledged games and single-player DLC, GTA Online's large playerbase proves that there's definitely still a market for the experience the developer is selling. Regardless of dissenting opinions, Rockstar's commitment to re-releasing GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S suggests that the game will continue getting updates like this one for the foreseeable future.
