One prodigious stuntman in Grand Theft Auto Online has taken the original Oppressor Mk1 and blasted it all across the map - upside down - in one impressive flying leap. There are many ways to break the physics of Rockstar's hit open-world multiplayer sandbox, partially because it's based on a game that was first released in 2013. Even so, any game can be broken wide open if millions of players push its systems to the limit for the better part of a decade, and that's exactly the case with the city of Los Santos and all its various additions Rockstar Games has piled onto it update after update.

The addition specific to the stunt of the moment (and many of the GTA Online community's favorites) is the Oppressor Mk1 rocket bike. Based on the vehicle from the short-lived 1980s TV series Street Hawk, the Oppressor is a monster of a motorcycle and as speedy as most of the fastest cars on the Los Santos streets. Players can customize it with weapons as well, ranging from two front-mounted machine guns to a quartet of rocket launchers than can tear through regular cars with ease. However, it's not the destructive power of the bike that is of concern to stunt drivers, but rather its ability to zoom through the air like a jet using a rear-mounted rocket and wings.

Posted to the official GTA Online subeddit by performance gamer TheFirstRaccount, the stunt video entitled "The Oppress Way" starts off with the driver getting a quick boost of speed before maneuvering into the air. Flipping the bike over once in full flight, the stunt then takes the Oppressor and its driver over and under freeways across the city and clear to the other side of the map. There are even times when the driver maneuvers through narrow tunnels, but they always come out unscathed by the impressive flight's end.

The Oppressor is an expensive vehicle that's out of reach for some players, and it has even spawned a more expensive iterative design. The Oppressor Mark 2 is a full-on hoverbike that defaults to flying through the air rather than zooming down the highway. Because of its modified design, it takes less skill to reach new heights on the Mark 2, something that commenters on the stunt video were more than happy to point out.

No matter which bike players choose, it takes practice to jet around concrete pillars without a nasty wipeout. TheFirstRaccount has clearly been practicing his technique for a long time on the Oppressor, showing a lot of improvement in this new video over one posted back in August. Who knows what another six months of work could bring?

It sure seems that this particular daredevil has cornered the market when it comes to the intersection Grand Theft Auto Online fame and '80s-flavored rocket bikes. Will any other stuntpeople emerge with their own blazing fast feats featuring the Oppressor? Or is there room to grow when it comes to the numerous other vehicles in the game and how fast they can fly through the sky? Considering that the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions are still in the works, there's plenty of time to practice and execute more wild stunts in the city that never goes offline.
