A Reddit user recently showed off their Grand Theft Auto Online bank robbery crew uncannily dressed up as the Scooby-Doo gang - with the exception of Scooby-Doo, the video features the entire Mystery-Machine-driving team: Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, and Velma. It appears the the four characters left behind solving mysteries in lieu of a life of crime, thanks to GTA Online's character customization features.

In GTA Online, players can group together to wreak havoc throughout the massive open-world map of Grand Theft Auto V's San Andreas. Racing together, robbing banks, going head-to-head in team deathmatches, and visiting penthouses are just some of the many activities available. Rockstar has been steadily updating GTA Online since its release in 2013. Along with the ever-expanding features of GTA Online provided by the developers are deep customization options, ranging from character creation to the Content Creator tool that lets players design their own maps.

Reddit user GOLDVILLAIN recently showed off their use of character customization, having deployed characters emulating the Scooby-Doo gang for a bank robbery. In a video titled "scooby snax don't come cheap," the four human Scooby-Doo characters enter a bank, weapons at the ready, the entrance zip-tied, and their money-bags ready to be filled with loot. Their uncanny resemblances to Scooby-Doo characters is difficult to miss, with each character looking like stylishly gritty versions of their iconic selves. Fred has his movie-star blonde hairdo, Velma has her glasses, Daphne is equipped with her orange hair and purple ensemble, and Shaggy is clad in his green shirt with his mop-like hair. The character's are such close renditions of those in Scooby-Doo, it is a bit jarring to see them all carrying guns - or Shaggy's arms coated in tattoos. Together they are taking part in one of the GTA Online's cooperative heist missions.

This is not the first time GTA Online users have brought a familiar face into an unfamiliar role. While it isn't quite plausible in the Hanna-Barbera animated universe for this lovable rag-tag group of morally righteous mystery solvers resorting to a life of violent crime, it is even less plausible the group would get away with their heist - some users observed the crew didn't bother masking themselves until after entering the bank. It does not help that their clothes are also incriminatingly recognizable.

After a bumpy start when initially launched in October 2013, Rockstar's online counterpart to Grand Theft Auto 5 has flourished in the years since, with GTA Online becoming an immense success for the studio and showing no signs of ceasing updates into the foreseeable future. Even fresh off of it's eight-year anniversary, Grand Theft Auto Online still appears to be entertaining its players.
