The online world of Los Santos gets treated with special events every couple of months or entirely new packages that allow for more heists, story missions, and exploration. The last major update to release for the title was the Casino Heist Update, allowing players to participate in story missions to rob the Diamond Casino. Each mission built on prepping for the said heist and concluded when the grand treasure was finally stolen from the inside. GTA Online Open Wheel Races have introduced competitive motorsport onto the online Los Santos. It introduces seven high-speed tracks and two new ultra-fast vehicles for players to collect. These vehicles are amongst the fastest in the game as they are literally racecars. Players can participate in these seven race tracks to drive their new car or explore around Los Santos as sound bursting speeds. The two new cars are no joke either. In normal GTA fashion, players can collide with each other on the racetrack and going at that speed is for sure going to raise the fatality rates. Not only that, but the game introduces the Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS), which is a speed boost for these vehicles. Players can participate in these races by approaching an Open Wheel Race to participate in on the map. This vehicle only allows one player at a time to take it for a spin. Customizing Your Open Wheels Race Car in GTA Online
Fortunately for players, if they know anything about customizing any vehicle, the Open Wheels Race Car can be upgraded the same way. Players can purchase these vehicles on their phone menu by going to the Legendary Motorsport section and picking them up. Each of these ranges to a large amount with over $3 million GTA dollars. Once the player has their vehicle, that can fully modify it by heading to Los Santos Customs.
The categories these vehicles can be customized are its Armor, Bodywork, Breaks, Front Bumpers, Engine, Explosives, Livery, Lose/Theft Prevention, Respray, and Roof. The stats will be present below this menu for its entirety. These customization options can be expensive so keep in mind what type of vehicle modification the player would like to complete. Also, some customization options require that the player is a certain level in order to unlock them.
GTA Online's motorsport racing is a neat addition to the online world. Especially in a game about fast cars, having the fastest cars imaginable and being able to race them is very welcomed. In these races too, players can stop for pitstop if needed. The races require more strategy than just going fast on the track.
