An attentive Grand Theft Auto Online player has discovered an alternate and somewhat hidden method for recovering impounded vehicles that saves the player from being forced to travel to the impound themselves. Rockstar's GTA V is now available on next-gen consoles, causing yet another uprising in GTA's popularity, especially within the online multiplayer mode. GTA V and Online have been frequently updated since their release nearly a decade ago and in turn, they have maintained consistent relevancy.

GTA Online has always been widely popular with players. While the gameplay is similar to that of GTA V's Story Mode, Online allows for players to roleplay life in San Andreas for themselves. This includes the ability to customize their character, commit heists with friends, and own their own homes and cars. Cars are arguably the most important aspect of Grand Theft Auto; whether they are stolen or bought, they allow the player to efficiently move through the environment. The online mode has further increased the acknowledgment of these important aspects, as custom GTA cars and car meets are just as interesting to fans as the game itself. Although vehicles are easily accessible throughout San Andreas, if the player leaves their own unattended for an extended amount of time, the vehicle will be impounded.

While most players have always thought they were forced to travel all the way to an impound lot by themselves (typically with a stolen vehicle), an observational player has discovered an easier way to retrieve impounded vehicles. Serious_Revolution77 shared the method on Reddit, having discovered that the player can contact their executive assistant to recover the vehicle for them. Executive assistants are NPCs introduced in the Further Adventures in Finance and Felony GTA Online update and are designed to assist the player with their organization. Although Serious_Revolution77's newly discovered ability is less demanding, it costs $1000 of in-game money, whereas the usual method only costs $250.

Other players and fans of the game showed gratitude for the trick in the comments of the post. Many agreed that GTA V should include tips and tricks in the once infamously long loading screen, considering there are plenty of workarounds to the various tedious tasks. A few users even shared their own tips, including a quick and easy way to scroll through the contacts of GTA Online's mobile phone. Despite some suggesting that GTA Online is no longer fun, the game mode is still popular as observed within the community. The latest updates of Online have shifted gameplay to involve more grinding in order to afford new weapons and vehicles, so any break that players can get is welcome.

The latest enhanced edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 has added upgrades in both the Story Mode and Online. Rockstar continuously works to create the ideal online multiplayer experience, and fans respond mostly positively to additions in GTA Online. Although the re-release of GTA V on next-gen consoles has provided another revival of the almost decade-old RPG, fans now have focused their attention on the upcoming GTA 6 and what online gameplay the long-awaited game might deliver.
