A Grand Theft Auto Online player was shocked to find police spawning inside the cop car they were driving, ultimately killing them and ruining their heist. In the GTA series, heists are typically elongated story missions with multiple parts that eventually result in a much larger monetary reward for players than usual missions. As the name suggests, heists also usually involve stealing something. There have been several different heists featured in Grand Theft Auto V over the years, and they all vary in approach.

With eight years since Grand Theft Auto V’s release, players have speculated more and more about when Grand Theft Auto VI will release, especially with the recent announcements of the GTA: The Trilogy coming to consoles. Encountering issues like this appears to make players wish for an updated version of the game even more.

In a recent Reddit video posted by RakorGames, the player is shown evading other police cars on the streets as they drive a cop car of their own. They arrive in a garage and exit the vehicle, ready to switch to their getaway car, only to suddenly see several cops spawn inside the cop car they were just driving. The cops immediately exit the vehicle and level their guns at the player, "wasting" them and ruining the heist. The experience caused RakorGames to post, "Rockstar is not even hiding it anymore..."

In the past, Rockstar has come under fire from players for how they handle spawning - not only in Grand Theft Auto, but in other series like Red Dead Redemption as well. Players certainly need an unlimited amount of enemies to fight in games like this, but when they spawn out of the blue it can cause issues with immersion. Of course, it is still annoying to have cops spawn randomly off-screen; but for enemies to spawn so close to a player in such a vulnerable moment - and in the very car they were driving - makes the outcome all the more frustrating. Situations like this one make players wish for a new game and not Grand Theft Auto V ported to new consoles, where they might just encounter the same issues.

Thankfully, many other GTA players in the comments are surprised to see this happen, indicating this situation may not be a common experience. When a game like Grand Theft Auto V is around as long as it is, players are bound to find just about every in-game feature, an accidental glitch or otherwise. That said, franchises like GTA and Elder Scrolls have the same problem: they have released very little info during the long wait for the next entry in their respective series. Grand Theft Auto VI, whenever it eventually does arrive, will hopefully have NFT spawning issues resolved.
