A Grand Theft Auto Online feature deemed forgotten - which allows players to spectate others who are wanted or chased by the police on TV - has been recently rediscovered by a player, sparking conversation about many of the title's forgotten features. Grand Theft Auto Online's popularity continues with more and more players jumping into the title each year despite releasing almost a decade ago. GTA Online's newest content expansion The Contract is one of the biggest post-launch updates the title has received so far and features the return of several Grand Theft Auto V's characters like Franklin Clinton, and includes an additional radio station, new music from rapper Dr. Dre, quality of life updates, and new co-op new missions to give insight on its continuum.
As Rockstar's biggest and most popular game to date, Grand Theft Auto V's multiplayer mode continues to receive major updates and features that add new content and expand the title's replayability and longevity. With a growing massive player base, Grand Theft Auto V broke the player count record in 2020 and became Twitch's most-watched game of 2021. Additionally, due to its continued financial success, a next-generation version of the latest entry was announced and is set to re-release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S early next year in March. The title will reportedly include improved visuals, gameplay, and features to extend the acclaimed sandbox's until the next major installment.
Shared on Reddit, user maksikjankowski posted several screenshots of what appears to be a long-forgotten Grand Theft Auto Online feature that they recently discovered. The user claims players can watch others being chased by the cops on the news, and provides images as an example. While vague and giving little information, others in the comments have added more insight on the feature, stating that it can be activated on TVs inside Grand Theft Auto Online player apartments or homes - and can also be used to spectate any character who is in the lobby of the game or see how they react.

The "Wanted" system is one of Grand Theft Auto's main core mechanics and tremendously evolved with every installment since its initial introduction in the 90s. Though originally containing six stars and bringing in the military on the final star after players wreck havoc, this was later removed in Grand Theft Auto V for immersion but saw the buff of its police officers who were deadlier than ever before. Nonetheless, Grand Theft Auto's cops are known as one of its most memorable aspects and players can find distinctive NPCs in each title.
Years after initial releases, players continue to find new details and features hidden inside Rockstar's titles, especially in the Grand Theft Auto series. Those curious can spend countless hours inspecting and run across never before seen secrets, and more can be expected to be discovered and showcased when the title re-releases in 2022 with additional content.
