When it comes to vehicles in Grand Theft Auto Online, it is widely believed that faster is better. GTA Online is the multiplayer online portion of Grand Theft Auto V and features over 600 unique vehicle types of varying stats. Due to the grandiose size of GTA V's map, it is difficult to advance in a timely manner without players having some sort of vehicle to carry them from point A to point B.

Because there are so many cars to choose from, it's important to narrow down the fastest cars in the game if there is any hope of racing against the clock. Whether vehicles are used for mission driving, heists, time trials, or street racing through Los Santos, many players would agree that this speed is key. A vehicle is not considered the "fastest" based on its overall GTA performance stats but by the top-speed it can reach when fully upgraded.

Although it's easy to be overwhelmed by the number of vehicles available to players in-game, the stats of many of them are not as important as others. The five fastest vehicles in the world of GTA Online are the Declasse Vigero ZX, the Ocelot Pariah, the Grotti Itali RSX, the Pfister 811, and the Principe Deveste Eight. Every vehicle on this list can reach a top speed well over 130 miles per hour and can be accrued through in-game websites (which costs players in-game currency) or by locating them throughout the map.

Fast Car Locations Throughout GTA Online

The vehicle taking the number one spot in terms of speed is the Declasse Vigero ZX, which reaches a top acceleration of 157.50 mph. The new Hao's Special Works (an auto shop located inside the LS Car Meet) upgrades are only available for certain consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) and can be disabled for races, but this car is sure to get players around as quickly as possible. The Declasse Vigero ZX can be found in the showroom of Simeon’s garage, located down the street from Ammu-Nation in Pillbox Hill or can be obtained from the Southern San Andreas Super Autos site in the in-game phone.

For players who don't have the consoles required for GTA Online's HSW mods, their best bet is to find the Ocelot Pariah. Fully upgraded, the Pariah takes the cake with a maximum speed of 136.00 mph. The Ocelot Pariah is only available through the Legendary Motorsport website, available to players through an in-game internet browser.

The next fastest car on this list is the Grotti Itali RSX, whose highest speed after upgrades is 135.30 mph. This car can only be purchased through the GTA Legendary Motorsport website, as this dealership does not have a physical office or location in-game. Although it isn't the fastest car in GTA Online, in the hands of a good driver it's still bound to leave some people in the dust.

The next car on the list by speed is the Pfister 811, which comes in at 132.50 mph. This vehicle can also be purchased in GTA Online through Legendary Motorsport. Although it is one of the more expensive "Super" cars in the game, the speed and maneuverability it can achieve is well worth the heavy investment.

The final vehicle worth covering in the speed category is the Principe Deveste Eight. This car has a natural top speed of 131.75 mph, but with Hao's Special Works improvements it can reach 151.75 mph, making it a stiff competitor for the Vigero ZX. The Principe Deveste Eight can be ordered through the game's Legendary Motorsport website, after which a mechanic will deliver it near the player's location.

There are many cars available to GTA Online players that will make their experience playing just a little better. While the size of the map and the variances in vehicular statuses can be overwhelming, finding the right car to suit a player's need for speed is very important. Although the cars listed do not include those with a temporary "Rocket Boost" enhancement, there are many available to players that still have plenty of speed. As long as players can afford the car of their choice, there is nothing slowing them down.
