Grand Theft Auto Online is celebrating December with the release of the Los Santos Drug Wars update, and that means plenty of new content for the fanbase to play with. Rockstar's announcement revealed a wealth of new options, as well as yet another story update for Los Santos. This update should have plenty to keep players busy through winter and beyond.

Grand Theft Auto Online's Los Santos Drug Wars introduces a new faction called the Fooliganz, an eclectic crew of newcomers to Los Santos that are looking to get into the drug trade. In a storyline that gets started with the assistance of Trevor's old associate Ron of all people, the player helps the Fooliganz get a foothold in Los Santos' underworld. Following GTA Online's Criminal Enterprises update, this could be yet another boost to players' earning potential in-game. Better yet, the Los Santos Drug Wars update is available for both current-gen and last-gen consoles, making the new features of Los Santos Drug Wars available to all players.

A tweet by Rockstar Games shows a bit of what players should focus on first - the aptly titled "First Dose" storyline for the Fooliganz. This is a series of missions that will introduce the player to the gang and help them set up their operations. It's through these missions that the player will be able to help them set up the Freakshop which acts as the Fooliganz' home base. In addition to welcoming the Fooliganz to the city, the player will also get the chance to clash with the former stars of Grand Theft Auto 4's worst DLC, the Lost MC. Not to mention, the name "First Dose" implies more potential missions in Grand Theft Auto Online's future.

Los Santos Drug Wars Is Giving GTA Online A Big Expansion

One reason to finish the "First Dose" storyline as fast as possible is to unlock the Brickade 6x6. The Brickade is a big, blocky truck that's not much to look at, but it's got a lot to offer. In addition to being strong enough to take hits and barrel through traffic, the player can also use it as a mobile acid lab for another source of revenue. Those who aren't charmed by the Brickade's dull look can also customize it to their liking with new paint jobs and liveries to turn it into their own custom-made rolling roadblock. It may not be one of Grand Theft Auto Online's fastest cars, but every player can put it to good use.

Any good Grand Theft Auto Online update should offer new stuff for players to buy, and Los Santos Drug Wars is no exception. A new wave of clothing items will expand the wardrobes of players with all-new styles, particularly punk and stoner chic. Players who aren't satisfied with just the Brickade will also have a new selection of cars to buy. While several high-performance cars are joining the game, the most amusing and ironically fitting for the update is the BF Surfer hippie van. Players who want to expand their garages will find plenty to like in this update, and they'll need to find more ways to make money fast in GTA Online to afford it all.

Los Santos Drug Wars has added a whole new piece to GTA Online with the Fooliganz and their operations, and the rest of the new content was just a bonus. Players have more opportunities than ever before to move up in Los Santos' criminal underworld. Grand Theft Auto Online players have plenty to enjoy with this latest update.
