Grand Theft Auto Online is one of the most diverse gaming experiences available. There is a seemingly infinite supply of missions, games, races, and trials to participate in with players all over the world. There is nothing better than putting together the perfect job with all your friends.
Most players spend time jumping into different ongoing events when they first get started. There is lots of fun to be had joining up with friends or with random players that you meet along the way. At some point, most players decide to start their own jobs. Here’s how to put together custom jobs in GTA Online.
Creating Jobs in GTA Online
There are two primary methods to create custom jobs in Grand Theft Auto Online. The easiest way to create a job would be to go through the game’s pause menu. Pause the game and navigate to Menu > Online > Jobs > Create Jobs. Select ‘Created by Rockstar’.
This will result in a long list of game modes available to players. Within this list, select the desired mode. There will now be a list of games that match that particular mode. When one of these is selected, the player will become the host. The player will now have control over the various customizable options for this selected game.
Keep in mind that some modes are more customizable than others. Races, for instance, allow players to customize cars, race type, penalties, and lap counts. Other modes may only allow you to control the time of day and possibly the weather. Hosts can choose how many players can join the game and who all is allowed to join. Double-check to see if any players could join or if it is limited to friends.
The alternative method is dependent on where the player is on the map. Joining jobs found on the map is the way that most players choose to play the game. Players can do the same thing if they want to create their own modes. Open up the world map and look for the icon of the particular job. Select this icon and add a waypoint to your map. From there, players will want to find that location on the map and stand within the glowing circle on the ground. Players will now be given the option to join a game of that type or create one.
Keep in mind that if the game mode players are looking for is not available in that location, they will not be able to select it from this menu. Navigating the main game menu can be confusing for new players. Try to familiarize yourself with the various modes so the right jobs can be easily found and created.
