One Grand Theft Auto Online player has had their car chase movie recreation ruined by the police, resulting in an embarrassing, but rather amusing, finale. 2013's Grand Theft Auto 5 surpassed all analysts’ sales expectations in the years since its release, continuing to be a financial hit to this day, and fans' enjoyment of the world has continued thanks to the ever-expanding GTA Online. Players are currently enjoying the highly-successful and recently-launched GTA Online The Contract update.

The latest big GTA Online update is one of the most substantial to date, welcoming some of the most popular characters from GTA 5 into the fray, with Franklin and Chop ready for action. The Contract expansion also introduces new music tracks from Dr. Dre, alongside the rapper himself. In the update, players are tasked with finding Dre's lost phone - which contains unreleased music - therefore helping Franklin to secure Dre as a client. The Contract, which released in December, appeals to fans of both the online and campaign elements of the latest GTA titles, and has even helped to solve GTA 5 mysteries like Michael De Santa's fate.

GTA Online player Outlaw515o was trying to recreate one of the car chase scenes from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds within the streets of Los Santos, but ended up having their plans hilariously foiled by the police. Outlaw515o had gone to a lot of effort to get everything ready for their big moment, however, the game’s AI was clearly not on the same page as the player. Soon after Outlaw515o began their would-be-epic flee in the style of Nicholas Cage, a series of events saw the police rear-end their getaway car in a tunnel. This in itself may not have been too much of a problem normally, however, due to some twist of fate, Outlaw515o ended up being spun round by 90 degrees. The end result left Outlaw515o instead recreating a humorous moment from the movie Austin Powers, as they were left pinned between the tunnel's two walls while they awaited their impending arrest.

While Grand Theft Auto Online is clearly still offering up plenty of enjoyment for fans, as the above video proves, many are eager to hear more about the next GTA game in the pipeline. There have long been rumors about GTA 6, however, there has not yet been anything official announced by developer Rockstar Games, leading speculation to continue on the supposed game, its setting, and release date.

Even though Rockstar does not seem ready to commit to any news surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6, the developer is still devoting a lot of time and energy towards GTA Online. The launch of The Contract came as a surprise to many, and suggests even more big-name content expansions could be planned for 2022. With more content likely to be added in the future, it doesn’t seem that GTA 5 nor its online component will be going anywhere soon, especially with the upcoming launch of a new-gen upgrade for GTA 5. This means Outlaw515o may soon have another chance to recreate their epic chase...without the cops messing it up.
