A new PC mod for Tekken 7 allows Grand Theft A: San Andreas star CJ to seek revenge on Big Smoke. Interestingly, San Andreas/CJ-inspired PC mods have proven all the rage of late, with the modding community placing the iconic Rockstar Games character in everything from God of War (2018) to the recently released Sloclap beat 'em up, Sifu.

Given Rockstar's and Take-Two Interactive's launch of the GTA Trilogy late last year, it's no wonder that CJ managed to reenter the spotlight. The collection brought GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas to modern platforms with a fresh coat of paint and a fair few gameplay enhancements. However, the release didn't go as smoothly as fans and newcomers had hoped. Developed by Florida-based port house Grove Street Games, the GTA Trilogy launched with countless bugs in tow - some of them of the game-breaking variety, others had lingered since the PS2 days. Grove Street and Rockstar continue to work towards improving the experiences by deploying bug fixes and improvements, yet some players across all platforms still encounter disruptive glitches from time to time.

Twitter user BuffGigas recently came across a Tekken 7 PC mod (via Tekken Mods) that pits Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas' CJ against Big Smoke. It's quite the showdown, too, with CJ having no mercy for the man who betrayed him in the PS2 classic's narrative. PC players interested in the "Carl Johnson" mod can download it now via the Tekken Mods website. See a quick clip of the former friends duking it out in the video linked below:

Since CJ mods like the aforementioned Sifu creation continue to grow in popularity, it was only a matter of time before a modder let the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas character take out his frustrations on Big Smoke. That such a fan-made creation came to life in Tekken 7 only serves to sweeten the deal. Who knows, maybe the pair will find themselves engaged in battle in Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat next?

Bandai Namco Entertainment published the seventh mainline Tekken 7 in 2015 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. As of now, it counts as the most recently released entry in the long-running fighting game series, though Bandai Namco kept players engaged for years with regular updates and DLC offerings. Nevertheless, fans hold out hope that an eighth mainline Tekken installment will soon see the light of day.
