Observant Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition players have discovered a screenshot found in the game that could be an image from GTA 6. Recently released across PC and console, Rockstar’s GTA Trilogy is a modern remaster of Grand Theft Auto III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.

Although the trilogy was heavily anticipated by fans before release, opinions quickly changed when players found that the remaster was riddled with an array of problems, such as performance issues that rendered the game almost unplayable, graphical glitches, and the removal of some features. The remaster was quickly removed from sale on PC mere days after its launch, angering players further, though it soon returned with Rockstar putting the phenomenon down to the release accidentally including unintended files. As a result of the collection's many issues, displeased fans took to review-bombing the GTA Trilogy on Metacritic, with the title receiving a score of 0.5.

Twitter user morsmutual_ recently shared a screenshot from GTA: San Andreas that features a wall covered in framed pictures of UFO sightings at the Lil’Probe’Inn (via Dexerto). Most of the photos are of various locations from Rockstar titles, such as Guarma from Red Dead Redemption 2, and Los Santos from GTA 5. However, some fans were baffled by one specific picture that features an unsuspecting house decorated with two palm trees, and a UFO flying in the distance, which many were unable to locate within Los Santos. This fueled fans' speculation as some are convinced that the graphics and clouds featured in the photo are much better than GTA 5, which could mean that the picture in question may be a screenshot from GTA 6. Twitter user Pollofrito69420 noted:

"the first two are Guarma, the third one is Los Santos in GTA V, and the las [sic] one I don’t recognize it, but it has good graphics, and looks modern, not like in gta vice city, san andreas, and 3, I really dont want to say gta 6, but it does look better than gta v."

This is not the only speculation that has come from the recently-released GTA Trilogy, with fans finding another Easter egg that may tease a GTA 4 remaster. Other players noted that the mysterious house bears a striking resemblance to the home of The Golden Girls, a 1985 sitcom that was based in Miami, the city that Vice City was heavily inspired by. As previous rumors from industry insiders have also suggested that GTA 6 will take place in Vice City, this has led some fans to believe that the picture could be referencing the next game in the series.

As Rockstar continues to remain tight-lipped regarding information on the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, it’s unlikely that the speculation around the mysterious photo will receive any confirmation anytime soon. Considering previous rumors from insiders suggest that GTA 6 may release in 2025, it's understandable that eager fans will be looking for hints regarding its sequel anywhere they can.
