Grounded’s survival game nature forces players to look for basic necessities such as food and clean water, which can be a bit tricky to find at first. However, drinking clean water is a crucial mechanic that players need to consume if they want to continue their adventure in the dangerous backyard.

Since Grounded players are shrunken versions of fully grown people, players can use multiple sources of clean water to survive. Sources such as dewdrops or water droplets are the most prevalent source in the world; however, there are other sources players can use.

Where To Find Clean Water

Dewdrops on grass overhead in Grounded is the easiest source of clean water

Players looking to survive the harsh environment in Grounded can find droplets/dewdrops on the underside of Grass blades. Since these droplets appear massive, they can quickly fill a character’s water gauge. However, since players are tiny in size, accessing these droplets isn’t straightforward.

Players can cut down the grass or launch a projectile to knock down water droplets.

While knocking down the grass to access clean water is the only way to go as a beginner in Grounded, players might want to explore storing water in Water Containers. This will help players save time by allowing them to access resources whenever they want without needing to chop grass blades every time. Players can also find clean water in Soda Cans and Juice Boxes scattered around the backyard.

How To Store Clean Water

A Water Container and a Dew Collector in Grounded that stores clean water

To store clean water, players will need first to learn the water container’s recipe in Grounded. Next, players must find Acorns and break them to split the shells apart. Then, players should analyze the Acorn Shell, which will let them learn a Water Container’s recipe. These containers are best used to store water around a base, and each Water container can store up to 6 drops of water.

If players are heading out on a mission or exploring, they should craft a Canteen, which they can use if they run out of water. A Canteen can be crafted after players analyze a Crude Rope, which can be done relatively early in Grounded.

The last and final way to store clean water is to construct a Dew Collector in a player’s base. The Dew Collector can be built after players get access to Silk Rope. This will let players additional dewdrops within their base and make surviving in Grounded relatively convenient.
