Warning! Spoilers for DCeased: Dead Planet #1 below

Becoming Green Lantern grants the wielder of the ring all kinds of powers include the ability to create constructs, flight, and energy blasts. But, what happens when an already superpowered hero is chosen by the Power Ring? In the latest issue of the DCeasedBlack Canary showed off her massive powers as the newest Green Lantern.

In the original DCeased series from Tom Taylor and Trevor Hairsine, a corrupted version of Darkseid's Anti-Life Equation spreads through technology to infect all of Earth - as the infected turn into zombie-like creatures. DC's mightiest heroes are ravaged by the infection as the likes of Wonder Woman, Batman, and Green Lantern all become infected. When Hal Jordan turns and has to be taken out with Dinah's Canary Cry, his Power Ring immediately chooses her as the new host.

In DCeased: Dead Planet (The Return) by Taylor, Hairsine, Gigi Baldassini, Stefano Gaudiano, Rain Beredo, and Saida Temofonte, the survivors of the infection are living off-planet on a world dealing with war. Dinah, along with the new Superman and Wonder Woman takes down an alien warship. The heroes are then shown to have established their own home called New Metropolis where the 13 million human survivors remain. However, when the team gets a message from Cyborg calling for the Justice League, the group returns to Earth. But, when Green Arrow is taken by a turned-Wonder Woman, Dinah goes on offense. She sends a powerful Canary Cry at Woman Woman, before squashing her with a giant hand construct. That's when she lunges at her with a sword and puts the blade through not only Wonder Woman's throat, but through Superman trying to stop her.

Dinah wasn't going to let Wonder Woman get away with taking down Ollie. Seemingly losing Green Arrow to the infection understandably sets off the new Green Lantern and she wasn't going to stop until Wonder Woman was no more. In the issue, we see her show off her extreme power, as she takes down a spaceship, makes some impressive constructs, and uses her strong Canary Cry. Black Canary is clearly one of the most powerful Green Lantern's ever, as the mix of her own powers plus those granted by the Power Ring make her nearly unstoppable - as Wonder Woman quickly found out.
