The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has rated several different games, including the localization of The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. Previously, The Great Ace Attorney localization was part of a huge Capcom leak back in November, but with this rating, the full reveal of the game might be soon.

The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles are a collection of two prequels in the Ace Attorney series that take place before the main series. The setting is in feudal Japan, and the main characters are the ancestors of several characters in the series, including Phoenix Wright. The Great Ace Attorney games were released on the 3DS in 2015 and 2017 respectively in Japan, but were never localized in the west. Fans had been begging for the game's localization ever since its release, and from these leaks, it seems that it won't be much longer till their release.

As reported by Gematsu, the ratings from the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee list The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles collection for Switch, PS4, and PC. Along with The Great Ace Attorney, the ratings also listed the Switch version of Telltales' Tales From The Borderlands, which wasn't included in the rerelease announcement of the game. Other listings include Secret Neighbor, SnowRunner, and a PS5 release of Geneshin Impact.

The Ace Attorney series has released on several different consoles, after originally releasing on the GBA. Since its debut in Japan, it's been localized on the Nintendo DS, and the original trilogy has been ported to the PS4, PC, and mobile platforms. But besides ports, newer releases in the series have remained on Nintendo systems, with the last few entries releasing on the 3DS. The Capcom November leak also claimed that Ace Attorney 7 was in development, but the system it would be on is unknown. Regardless, this would technically be the first "new" Ace Attorney multiplatform release in the west, even if it is just a localized port.

The fact that this rating came from the Digital Game Rating Committee also suggests that The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles will be a digital exclusive release, which is how the past few Ace Attorney games have been released. Some feel that the newer games deserve to be released physically. Regardless, this will provide those in the west with a chance to play one of the lost Ace Attorney games. Although there is one more title in the series that has still yet to be localized to the west, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles gives fans the chance to experience the stories that came before the legendary Phoenix Wright.
