Netflix releases new images for The Gray Man, showcasing a first look at the characters played by Ana de Armas and Regé-Jean Page. Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who are responsible for a number of hit MCU movies such as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, The Gray Man tells the story of a CIA asset (Ryan Gosling) who becomes the target of assassins around the globe after he discovers agency secrets. The Gray Man is based on a book series of the same name by Mark Greaney, with a script penned by Joe Russo, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely.

While an official trailer for The Gray Man has yet to be released, Netflix did show off some brief snippets of footage for the film in their 2022 Movie Preview. The clips showed Gosling fighting off assassins atop a tram, and also gave audiences a first look at the film's main villain, played by Chris Evans. The brief teaser didn't provide a look at any of the film's other characters, however, with Billy Bob Thornton, Jessica Henwick, and Julia Butters among those in the supporting cast.

In a new set of images from Netflix, de Armas and Page's characters in The Gray Man are shown off for the very first time. While much remains unknown about de Armas' character, a synopsis for the film reveals her name to be Agent Dani Miranda. The images also provide a better look at Gosling's protagonist, Court Gentry, with one image even featuring a behind-the-scenes shot of the actor sprinting around the front of a tram. Check out the images below:

Page plays Carmichael in The Gray Man, and the image would suggest the character might be someone who works more in the office than in the field. It's also not clear whether he will be working with Gosling's Gentry or against him, but the shadowy office environment around him could hint that he might have sinister intentions. Audiences similarly have yet to see de Armas' character in action, but the synopsis for the film does tease that she will have Gentry's back as the assassins of the world attempt to hunt him down.

With the Russo brothers in the director's chair and a host of talented actors interpreting the material, The Gray Man is one of Netflix's most anticipated original movies ever. Not only that, but with a budget of $200 million, the pressure is on for the film to be a hit. While audiences now have a better idea of Gosling and Evans' characters, those played by de Armas and Page still remain mysterious. With a limited theatrical run starting July 15 and a streaming release date set for July 22, it likely won't be too long before audiences get to see a full trailer for The Gray Man.
