Grandmaster Vanguard Nightfalls are the pinnacle of end-game activities in Destiny 2. This content is designed to test the extent of a Guardian's skills in PvE. Grandmaster Nightfalls demand players upgrade their gear throughout the season, typically requiring a high minimum. Additionally, there is a significant difference in Power between Guardians and the enemies encountered. Successful completion of a Grandmaster Night rewards exclusive gear that players do not want to miss.

Each season, six Vanguard Nightfalls in Destiny 2 are chosen to receive Grandmaster difficulty. Like base Nightfall activities, these are on a set rotation, changing each weekly reset. However, Grandmasters are not available immediately, with this difficulty only recently opening in Season 19 on January 17, 2023. For further details regarding each Nightfall, players should look at the excellent chart below created by Kyber's Corner.

More Guardians than ever can participate in Grandmaster Nightfalls during Season of the Seraph. Bungie's most recent newsletter detailed a change to the minimum requirements for these activities. Currently, players of 1580 Power can challenge Grandmaster Nightfalls. However, enemies are set to 1620 Power, meaning Guardians at the minimum requirements will be 40 levels under. Through a combination of the seasonal Artifact and/or Pinnacle drops, players can increase their effective Power to 1595.

Grandmaster Nightfalls are a great source of loot. This difficulty is one of the few ways to obtain Adept Mods in Destiny 2. These are typically enhanced versions of normal Weapon Mods. Some also increase specific stats, such as Adept Range. Guardians can only benefit from an Adept Mod if they are using an Adept weapon. One gun drops each week from a certain Grandmaster Nightfall. Guardians can see the rotation for Season of the Seraph below:

The drop in Power for Grandmaster Nightfalls in Destiny 2 makes the content more accessible to Guardians. However, players must gather a premade Fireteam to start these activities. There are a limited number of revives, but an additional revive is earned by defeating a Champion. As long as Guardians plan their approach to each combat encounter, they will earn Adept Weapons every season in Destiny 2.
