Everything We Know About Grand Death Lotto

Grand Death Lotto boasts a fun and unique premise revolving around a competition known as the Grand Lottery, set during an “economically challenged California" in the very near future. The rules of the competition state that if one kills the lottery winner before sundown, they are legally allowed to claim their prize. The film follows Awkwafina's character who, after ending up with a winning ticket, employs the services of a jackpot protector played by Cena, who must fend off a rival protector played by Liu. Grand Death Lotto is written by Outside the Wire's Rob Yescombe.

With Cena, Liu, and Awkwafina starring and Feig directing, the action-comedy is led by an array of genre regulars. Cena is known for his performance as Peacemaker, while Liu and Awkwafina previously starred together in Shang-Chi. Feig is one of the most accomplished comedic directors working today, known for his various collaborations with Melissa McCarthy including Bridesmaids, The Heat, Spy, and Ghostbusters. With such a wacky premise and talented team behind it, Grand Death Lotto should make for a fun, action-packed flick whenever it hits Prime Video.
